Ice Baby is the newest nail collection from Wet n Wild for holiday 2011. It’s limited edition and exclusive to Walgreens.
I know plenty of you have been on the lookout for this collection to no avail yet. But hang in there, hopefully you’ll find it soon!
This collection is comprised of eight new colors, all super glittery and sparkly (and not easy to remove, especially when you swatched them all at once). 😉
They don’t come in a full sized bottle, but rather a smaller 0.34 oz bottle. But at $2.99, they’re a steal!
I used three coats for all of these because I wanted as much coverage and glittery fabulousness as I could muster. They are definitely thicker when you apply that many coats, but not overly hard to work with.
Give Me A Price Quote
Give Me A Price Quote is a yellow gold glitter. It has small square glitter as well as bar glitter. This is one of my favorite ones, and for me that’s saying somehting because I don’t like bar glitter normally. This is just SO blingy!

24 Carats
24 Carats has small square gold glitter, copper and gold bar glitter, and small square purple glitter. The overall effect is a coppery gold delight! I also love this color. The coverage is great and I love this color combo. It reminds me of Mardi Gras.

Cost Is No Issue
Cost Is No Issue is a blue teal glitter with blue micro square glitter, and larger hexagonal teal glitter. Love the texture of this one with the micro and larger glitter. The blues are different so you get a nice dimension.

All In The Cut
All In The Cut has square micro glitter in lavender and larger hexagonal glitter. Again, I love this color combo and coverage. So pretty!

Rockin Rubies
Rockin Rubies has red square micro glitter and larger hexagonal glitter. This is the only one that kind of fell flat for me for whatever reason. I think I just loved the others so much this seemed too tame or something.

Diamond In The Rough
Diamond In The Rough has charcoal grey square micro glitter and larger holographic hexagonal glitter. The overall effect is a deep grey with massive holo sparkle. Love it.

Back Alley Deals
Back Alley Deals has bright purple square micro glitter and larger fuchsia hexagonal glitter. This is my favorite one I think. I love this combo and I love that there is a lot of pink glitter mixed in with the purple. So cool looking!

Believe Me, It’s Real
Believe Me, It’s Real has bright blue square micro glitter and larger purple hexagonal glitter. This is another one of my favs. Killer combination of colors and great coverage!

Overall:
Glitters tend to annoy me because they always seem like repeats of ones we have seen before, plus they are SO messy to remove. But I can finally say I really enjoyed 95% of this glittery collection! Yes these are still awful to remove, but the colors are so fun and different looking I don’t even mind.
Availability: Exclusive to Walgreens.
Pricing: $2.99 each.
What do you guys think about Ice Baby? Any here that you are dying over?

These are gorgeous! Some remind me of the ChG Eye Candy collection too!
Believe Me, It’s Real looks so great!

I found them about a week ago, and got six of the eight colors…even though I’m not traditionally a glitter fan.
They seem to have a bumpy finish. I bet it would take quite a few coats of topcoat to smooth it out. Other than that, they’re all pretty cool looking.

I decided I’d rather have the Color Club scented glitters than the WnW ones, but as always, Kelly, your swatches make me second-guess myself! :p
Dear Lord, I need a macro lens on my camera. Fantastic close-ups and swatches!
Back Alley Deals and Believe Me, It’s Real, are my faves for sure.

They are all pretty! I am going to run out and get Back Alley Deals! It looks so good on you that I have to have it!

Only at Walgreens? Boo! I guess I won’t be able to find it anywhere here in Canada. Too bad, there are a lot of pretty shades in this collection!

Perhaps one day we’ll finally get a Walgreens in Canada. Until then…guess I’m saving some money!

I love everything except the bar glitter ones – can’t get used to it!

I got everything but Diamond in the Rough, which just doesn’t appeal to me for some reason. But I looovvvvveeee all the others, especially the blue/teal/purple ones. Thankfully I was able to find these in the first Walgreens I looked at–a stark contrast to the On the Prowl collection, which I only ever saw once after two months of looking!
I LOVE glitter, but these might be too much even for me. I get too impatient with the removal process on ultra-dense glitters, but I might make an exception for “Cost Is No Issue” — because TEAL!
I love these! It sucks that I’m in Sweden…
Anyway, gotta love that header of yours! Owls!
I think I’m in love! *swoons* These are stunning!

I need to find these! They are gorgeous:-)
Oh Lord, these are SO amazing! <3 I want every each and one of them! <3
This is such an amazing collection. Wet n Wild has become one of my favorite brands in general, not just at the drugstore. I feel like they listen to their fans and are giving us what we want. And I want more! Haha.
I love this collection!! Hopefully I can find them somewhere
Oh wow, I love the blues and purples! Bar glitter reminds me of bacillus bacteria, so I’ll be passing on those, but the blues and purples are absolutely spectacular. Amazing swatches as usual!
No wonder 24 Carats was already out of stock at my Walgreens! I NEED that wonderful little bottle o’happiness!
I’ve been checking the five Walgreens around work/my house a few times a week for like, a month now – nothing yet! 🙁 I’m probably going to end up buying them all for all the work I’ve done hunting them down, lol. My favorite is Back Alley Deals!
I have yet to swatch any save for Diamond in the Rough. And what was rough about it, it was damn rough to remove, figuratively and literally. lol It’s my fav out of the entire collection anyway.
Thanks for sharing those super-macro shots.

24 Carats is lovely, it reminds me of bonfires and autumn leaves. Lovely!
I just feel in love with Rockin’ Rubies! Wow!
My favorite is Diamond In the Rough. I don’t want them all but I want 5 of them. The red wasn’t as special as the others.
I’m lemming these soooooooooooooo bad! *drools* :D”’

I was going to get the new Deborah Lippmann Dance Music trio but then realized 3 of these (cost is no issue, diamons in the rough and back alley deal) look VERY similar…close enough it’s worth it to save my money!!!

Thank you for the beautiful photos. They are soooo pretty! My fav is 24 Carats. Sadly, I haven’t been able to find them locally or online yet. Believe Me, It’s Real reminds me of Nails Inc – Connaught Square, Diamond In The Rough is like Sloane Square and Back Alley Deals looks like Bloomsbury Square – although side by side comparisons are probably needed to be sure. Wet n’ Wild is a much more the economical choice for something so similar.
Kelly, did these dry pretty smooth? Or are a couple of coats of top coat needed?

Now if I could just find them locally…
I was thinking the exact same thing! These remind me of the Nails Inc. ones as well. I’ve been craving Connaught Square so I might have to pick up its (cheaper) dupe instead.
Hi Angelica B,
You need a good thick layer of top coat (or two). They aren’t smooth on their own for sure!
This is a great glitter collection! I think if I saw these I’d probably be picking up most of them so it’s probably good I’m nowhere near a Walgreens 😛 Thanks for the swatches!
I picked up most of these! They are really really pretty and such a great deal. I like the bottle size and shape too. Your photos are gorgeous and spot on!
I’m glad I saw your nails. The only one I like enough to put up with would be the charcoal one.
omg black rubies is gorgeous!
Ha, yay, I was hoping you’d post this collection! I went lunchbreak shopping at Walgreens for the Wet n’ Wild baked & matte shadows that they didn’t have, but I found this whole collection freshly displayed. They only had two bottles of each color! I bought six of the eight – I skipped Rockin’ Rubies because I have several red glitters and 24 Carats because I have a Butter that’s very similar. I’ve worn All in the Cut…it’s super fairy princess gorgeous. I admit I had a bit of trouble with the wear, though. I did two coats…I’d recommend three. Started chipping in one day. I repaired the chips and added a second top coat that night, and they chipped even worse the next day, so I took it all off. And man, this glitter is TOUGH to get off, even in the realm of glitters. I guess this sounds negative, but for the price and the prettiness, I am willing to try and make them work better next time!
I think I want pretty much all of them; they’re so pretty! I hate removing glitter but these are so pretty that it would be worth it. 🙂
I came across these in Walgreens a week or two back. Can’t remember, sooo pretty in the bottle… I got the blue one, the green one and the silver one. I’ve only tried the green one…. But I think I’m going to have to try thinning the formula a bit, it was so gluggy, I hope I can find a way to make them work cause it would suck not to be able to showcase what I know is in those dang bottles *lol*
OMG this Collection is amazing!
It’s too bad we can’i buy WetnWild here in germany bc I need them all!

Great pictures!!
I have them all in my un-treids, I think with top coat they will REALLY shine, even the red 🙂
I’ve been stalking several wags by my office and have picked up all the ones I want except I haven’t found Diamonds in the Rough. I’ve been to 5 stores so far. I was already in love with these, but now that they seem to be dupes for other HE brands, I’m even more happy to own them 🙂
your macro is amaze-balls! great swatches!

The blues are stunning! Glitter polish isn’t always worth the hassle to me, but I love all of these colors and I appreciate Wet n Wild’s price point. I love how the drugstore has stepped up its game!
Hey I used a photo from this post on my blog but I linked back to your page, and gave you full credit for it. If that’s a problem I will take it down! Thanks for the post, now I am on a hunt like a crazy woman for them hehe
🙁 I’m so sad that it is exclusive to Walgreens. Canada doesn’t have Walgreens.
My eyes are glittering with the polishes *__*
