Smashbox has a new holiday palette out called Click You’re It which is truly amazing.
You know how some holiday eye palettes feel cheap and the shadows are sub-par inside? Like they totally went to some discount manufacturer to churn out lame, non-pigmented shadows just to appease those looking for pretty packages for Christmas? Well you WILL NOT find that here!
This palette contains 15 eye shadows, 5 cream liners (don’t shudder yet-they are AMAZING), a mini Photo Finish Lid Primer, 3 Get The Look Cards (6 looks total) and a giant mirror. This is all wrapped up in a sturdy red shiny cardboard box.
The shadows don’t have names, but rather numbers. That works for me as long as there is some way to identify them easily, I am happy!
Inside a little slot are the 3 look cards which are double-sided. These are super handy to get quick ideas of what you can do with all these options.
1, 2, 3, 4, 5
1 is a very pale pink matte
2 is a medium shimmery pink metallic
3 is a medium metallic silver/grey
4 is a pale peachy nude matte
5 is a pale vanilla white/champagne matte
I got pretty nice pigmentation with all of these, especially the metallics. They felt soft and easy to blend.
6, 7, 8, 9, 10
6 is a medium mauve metallic
7 is a medium/deep cranberry shimmer
8 is a deep charcoal grey shimmer
9 is a bright burnt orange shimmer
10 is a shimmery yellow gold
Fabulous colors and pigmentation. I especially love numbers 9 and 10.
11, 12, 13, 14, 15
11 is a dark chocolate brown shimmer
12 is a dark purple/brown shimmer
13 is a deep navy blue shimmer
14 is a medium coppery gold metallic
15 is a deep mossy green shimmer
Again, really nice pigmentation and colors. I LOVE numbers 12 and 14!
16, 17, 18, 19, 20
These are the cream liners and let me tell you, they have some serious depth! I was not expecting anything other than streaky, patchy colors here and wow was I surprised!
16 is a dark royal purple
17 is a jet black
18 is a navy blue
19 is a chocolate brown
20 is a warm yellow gold
I am really, really impressed with these liners I must repeat again. 🙂
I think this palette kick’s butt! The shadows were all very nice, felt soft and I got great payoff. There is a good range of colors and finishes also. The cream liners were kind of the icing on the cake, they are amazing. I hope they don’t dry out fast though!
Availability: Sephora and Smashbox.
Pricing: $49.00 (a $250 value).
