c. Booth is fast becoming one of my favorite drug store brands for bath & body. I used to only be able to find this brand at Ulta, which was a chore since there aren’t any near me, but now I can easily find them at Rite Aid. Yay!
Their Deep Cleansing Volcanic Mud Mask is a recent purchase I made and am loving.
Ever since I heard the hype about MAC’s Volcanic Ash Exfoliator (which by the way I LOVE and have a back-up tube of) I have become very aware of all things volcanic. Something about how earthy it is makes me very drawn to it. Maybe it’s my inner Hawaiian coming out. 😉
This mask is made for deep cleansing and purifying the skin. It helps to control oil and also detoxes your face. It has a nice earthy type of scent but nothing quite as addictive as MAC Volcanic Ash Exfoliator.
As the directions say, I just slap it on my face after washing all my makeup off. It goes on the color of the swatch below, then dries to a light grey. I leave it on for 10-15 minutes then wash off with warm water.
It definitely makes my skin feel cleaner and soft afterwards. But the best part is that it really does work as a “pimple reducer”! It says on the tube you can use it that way so 2 weeks ago when I had a pretty large pimple deep under the skin on my chin, I put some on and left it for about 10 minutes. That pimple was nearly gone the next day. I have used it since on smaller pimples as well and it works wonders.
I can’t speak much to the claim about it fighting oily skin because I don’t really have oily skin. I haven’t tried using it more than once a week, but they say you can use twice a week if needed.
I am very happy that I have this so readily available to me now and will definitely buy it again when I run out.
Availability: Ulta, Rite Aid, Drugstore.com.
Pricing: $8-10 for 4 oz.
What is your favorite face mask?

I use the micro-derm scrub, toner, and eye cream and have wondered about this product…adding it to the list. I’m all about clay, coal, volcanic stuff since I am a tad oily. I have been using Mario Badescu’s silver powder for related issues and LOVE.
Thanks for the review!
I LOVE c booth’s marshmallow day cream and tea tree toner :]
I’ve been wanting to find a great mask for acne prone skin that is oily so i may have to check this out! thank you so much for reviewing it 😀

This is now on my shopping list. Can’t wait to try it out!
Yes, Yes, Yes, to everything in this review! I bought this mask early this year and it is truly a miracle worker. It is the only mask that will reduce a crazy-sized pimple in just 24 hours. I absolutely love it for my oily, acne-prone skin. Side note: I also like the c. booth Licorice Eye Cream. I’m eager to try some other c. booth products mentioned above, too.

This sounds fabulous.
I am definitely going to try this. I’m also really attracted to things like this: volcanic ash, mud, etc… I think because it seems (like you said) more earthy. I have oily skin too so this seems perfect. And the Rite-Aid near me carries the brand! And it’s affordable! Win win for sure. 🙂
I bought this last year when I was back home because of the same reason it was volcanic! I bought some c.Booth products in September from Ulta, can’t get them here in the UK!
