MAC Posh Paradise features Mattene Lipsticks, Paint Pots and a couple Nail Lacquers thrown in for good measure. 😉
Mattene Lipsticks come in a thin kind of smooth satin-like tube and are semi-matte colors. They included 10 in this collection.
The Paint Pots come in 8 colors including Treasure Hunt, Half-Wild, Hyperviolet, Nubile, Idyllic, Genuine Treasure, Pure Creation and Imaginary.
The two nail lacquers are Rain of Flowers (from Fall 2010) and Immortal Gold.

Paint Pots are really creamy and saturated which is why they are one of my favorite items from MAC. They are versatile because you can use ’em as a wash of color, a base for other eye shadows or as liners.
Idyllic is a gorgeous saturated deep metallic wine red/copper color. MAC describes this as a copper bronze which really makes me scratch my head because that’s not at ALL what it looks like. It’s totally amazing though.
Half-Wild is a medium royal purple with tiny sparkles. Again super gorgeous color and nice payoff.
Nubile is a very pale pink/nude color. This would be great for brightening lids or as a base for other nudes.
Genuine Treasure is a olive green with tons of gold sparkle. Very pretty.

Naked Bliss, Deliciously Forbidden, Seeds Of Desire
As mentioned earlier the Mattene Lipsticks have a semi-matte look to them but they do feel more moisturizing than a typical matte lipstick. I have yet to do a wear test though to see how long that lasts. They apply easily and feel nice and comfortable on the lips.
Naked Bliss is a light neutral pink. Great color, great neutral will go with anything.
Deliciously Forbidden is a medium pinkish berry color. So flattering and pretty.
Seeds Of Desire is a dark plum/brown color with slight shimmer. Pretty color, just not for me.

Posh Paradise Nail Lacquer in Rain Of Flowers
Rain Of Flowers originally came out in the F/W Nail Trend collection of Fall 2010 and this is my swatch from then. It’s a really gorgeous deep purple with heavy purple, blue and pink shimmer. No streaking, great application.
Overall:
I like pretty much everything in this that I tried. I think the Mattene Lipsticks are nice, but frequently their lip products dry my lips out after an hour or two so that remains to be seen. The Paint Pots are all great, seriously love them. Rain of Flowers is gorgeous and I am *really* interested in checking out Immortal Gold when it comes out as well!
Availability: September 15 in North America and October International
Pricing: $14.50-$17.50
What do you think about this collection? Anything here you will be picking up?

I went to the store to get Nubile. It wasn’t on display, but a kind MAC SA went to look for one in the back room and she found one! So I managed to satisfy my craving for a new paint pot. 😀
Hi Chris,
That was nice of her, yay!
Naked Bliss looks gorgeous and easy to wear. I’m most interested in that item! 🙂 Thanks for all your hard work photographing and swatching these!

These are so pretty. I love Idyllic and Genuine Treasure! Also, the two nail polishes interest me.
The paint pots look gorgeous!!
Deliciously Forbidden looks gorgeous on you! I wish I had picked up Rain of Flowers when it originally released because I’m doing my best to save money right now!

Shamefully, this is the first time I’ve seen a MAC paint pot (yeah, all of my makeup-shopping mental bandwidth has been taken up by nail polish and lipgloss for like…a while). And I have to say “ooooooo!” That bronze-y Genuine Treasure is super, though maybe too similar to the Illamasqua liquid metal I wear almost daily. But I will *def* check through their full selection – I do love a highly-blendable smudgeable cream shadow. Thanks for the reviews and recommendation!
Idyllic is So. Beautiful. I can’t wait to play around with it when my package arrives. It seems like it looks bronzy on some people and burgundy on others.
oh damn. I’ve never bought a paint pot before but after seeing these pictures I think I HAVE to.
I want everything! I haven’t bought anything from MAC in a year. I’ve just tried not to go crazy with their products. It’s going to be tough now. You have the best pictures of MAC products. They’re large & crisp photos. When I ask my girlfriend to look for a drugstore polish or makeup item for me she always go to your blog. I don’t even know how she found you. She knows that I’m blog crazy but really doesn’t know which ones I follow. She made the right choice! She even said how good your photos are plus you have such pretty lips. Thanks for always reviewing such great products & taking such beautiful photos. Plus you try most everything out & show it. Really helps me make some choices of makeup.
I got a few paint pots but Idyllic looks so pretty here. I might have to go back!
They had Immortal Gold on the floor at my local Nordstrom last night — I looked but ended up just picking up Rain of Flowers. My go-to gold polish is OPI I Get A Kick Out Of Gold!, and other gold polishes just never measure up for me. I LOVED the new Paint Pots but I was trying to be responsible… I may go back for Idyllic, though. It reminded me of Illamasqua Liquid Metal.

I picked up half wild and genuine treasure paint pots and legendary and delectable mattene lippies. I may go back and pick up deliciously forbidden. I keep looking at it online and I’m almost to the point of needing it.
KELLY! I bought my stuff yesterday but I haven’t touched it because I’m going to swatch it for my blog later! We got quite a few of the same things (honestly I would have bought everything if I could have afforded it!) I wish this collection was perm!
Hi Cora!
I think you will LOVE the Mattene’s!!
I’m really loving neutral lip colors lately, so Naked Bliss looks amazing to me! 🙂

What is the best way to apply the paint pot’s does it go on dry? I’ve never used them and I’m super interested in getting some.
Hi Kristen,
They are creamy and dry to a nice finish. I use my finger if I am using as a base or on it’s own. I find that is the most accurate and easiest way for me. If I am using as a liner I use a small liner brush.
Lipsticks looks amazing, very moisturising and shinny
