MAC Prep+Prime Fortified Skin Enhancers with SPF 35 are part of their Prime Focus collection for fall 2011.
These come in four “shades” which all serve as a color-corrector, face primer and sunscreen all in one.
- Adjust – Light, neutral peach
- Illuminate – Pale lavender
- Neutralize – Pale yellow
- Recharge – Bronzy orange
Adjust, Neutralize, Illuminate (NC 20)
Adjust is a peach color and is used for giving skin a slight glow.
Neutralize is a yellow and is used for neutralizing redness in the skin.
Illuminate is a light lavender and is used for brightening up yellow or sallow looking skin.
I have tried both Adjust and Illuminate out and honestly don’t notice much of a difference between the two. Illuminate might just slightly make my skin look a little brighter than Adjust, because I do have yellow-undertones.
Both do a somewhat decent job of smoothing out pores, as a primer would. The coverage is very slight though, like a very light tinted moisturizer is.
They feel fairly creamy and are very easy to blend in. Love that they have an SPF of 35 of course!
Availability: MAC on August 18th
