I was able to check out a variety of the products form this line and have come to the realization that most of it is NOT for fair skinned gals, even those seeking a tanned look. Most everything I tried except the Lustre Drops looks muddy and waaaaaay to dark and warm on me. I wish I had the chance to see the regular Mineralize Skinfinish colors because I think at least the Soft And Gentle one would work for my skin. Oh well!
Pink Rebel, Sun Rush (slightly blended)
Pink Rebel, Sun Rush (blended)
What I love about Lustre Drops is they are super easy to apply (I use my finger), spread out easily and a TINY amount goes a long way.
Pink Rebel is definitely the best color for fair gals I think and it gives off more of a glow rather than a tanned look.
Sun Rush is obviously darker and more golden. I think I could pull this one off also, but would have to use it very sparingly and only on certain parts of my face otherwise I’ll wind up looking dirty! 🙂
Mineralize Skinfinish Natural
Give Me Sun!
Give Me Sun!, Sun Power
Give Me Sun! claims to be a light summer peachy tan, but I found it to be pretty dark on me. Definitely not one I could wear, but it would look fabulous on darker skin.
Same goes for Sun Power, which I knew I coudln’t pull off since the word terracotta is in it 🙂
Both of these are very soft and you get quite a bit of saturation with them so a small amount will go far.
Skinsheen Leg Spray
Medium Dark, Dark
Now this is a product I haven’t ever used, spray tan in a can basically.
Medium Dark MIGHT be workable on my arms and legs which are slightly darker on me than my pale looking hand here, but I haven’t tried it yet.
Dark obviously is for much darker skin tones than mine. This one looks to have more shimmer in it than Medium Dark does.
I was a little apprehensive about spraying this onto my hand thinking it would spray all over the place, but there really wasn’t much overspray. It comes out feeling cool and you get this watery texture, which you then blend into your skin.
Bronzing and tanning products can be hard for me because I don’t really ever wear them as I prefer my fair skin. Also there’s the whole laziness factor 😉 It seems that most of these products are geared towards non-pale beauties, which quite honest is fine with me! The only thing I can see myself using is the Lustre Drops.
Availability: April 7th in North America and April Internationally
Pale and non-pale folks, what do we think about these choices?
