Passing through Bed, Bath & Beyond recently, I saw a new looking collection of Revlon eye shadows. They are called Luxurious Color Eye Shadow and come in perle, satin and matte finishes.
It had been a LONG time since I had bought any Revlon eye shadows, so I decided to pick up a couple that called my name.
Some info about the shadows:
- Smooth Shimmering Finish
- Rich, refined pigments and velvety smooth textures
- Glides on smoothly, blends effortlessly
- Helps define and accent eyes
- Satin shades provide a smooth shimmering finish
- Perle shades provide a sparkling crystallized finish
- Matte shade provide a creamy rich finish
Violet Starlet, Platinum Glitter
Violet Starlet is a medium dusty violet color with small sparkles. I didn’t find this color to be as opaque as I hoped and it didn’t seem very even.
Platinum Glitter is a medium blue/green with small blue glittery bits. This one was softer and much more opaque than Violet Starlet. This felt like it would be much easier to blend than Violet Starlet also.
There is a bit of fallout with both of these since they do contain glitter, but it’s not the worst I have seen.
For the price ($4.99), I think they are ok and I might be willing to get a few more to see how they are. I wasn’t bowled over though, they were just mediocre to me.
