Misa, which is one of my very favorite nail polish brands, has two new collections out for spring 2011 and this one is called Wishes.
Wishes contains six pale, shimmery, opalescent spring-like colors. They are not super-opaque, more like a wash of color, but still really quite pretty.
Misa’s polish is on the thicker side, which means most of these were just two coats.
Whimsical Wishes is a pale peachy pink shimmer. This color reminds me of seashells for some reason. It’s the most pale of the collection here.
Pixie Princess is a slightly deeper color than Whimsical Wishes and is more of a golden pink. Very pretty but it matches my skin tone so much it’s not standing out a whole bunch.
Never Say Never
Never Say Never is a pale silver white with massive shimmer. I actually like this more than most silver metallic polishes. You don’t see silver shimmer as much as silver metallic, so it’s something unexpected I think.
Fountain of Youth
Fountain of Youth is a very pale green with loads of shimmer. I like this because it’s VERY spring-like and it’s a nice chance from a super-obvious green. It almost borders on having a yellow-ish tone. This was three coats.
Touch the Rainbow
Touch the Rainbow is a pale, opaque sky blue shimmer. This is actually more pale than sky blue it’s more of a white/blue color and is the most opaque here. It’s got some greenish/yellowish shimmer in it also. Very pretty!
Genie in This Bottle
Genie in This Bottle is a pale lavender with heavy pink shimmer. This one is just gorgeous on the nail, despite it being so light colored. I have always been drawn to these kinds of colors. This was three coats.
Lovely collection, though perhaps nothing extraordinary. I like these because they aren’t sheer, just pale. They are very appropriate for spring!
