MAC Lightfully Bright is a new collection that contains four Lipglasses, a moisture creme, softening lotion, creme cleanser and concentrated gel essence.
I purchased the Lipglasses simply because I absolutely love the way they looked and though I knew they would be sheer, I wanted them anyway. They are all frosts, but don’t have that 1985 frosted lipstick look about them. 🙂
I’m a sucker for these iridescent, shimmery colors and I love to layer them.
- Outer Space – Milky white with pink iridescence and shimmer
- Ethereal – Pale blue with yellow iridescence and shimmer
- Astro Cool – Pale lilac with yellow iridescence and shimmer
- Atmospheric – Pink with heavy blue and pink shimmer
L to R: Outer Space, Ethereal, Atmospheric, Astro Cool (NC20)
Astro Cool wound up being slightly pinker and warmer than I expected from the tube. It’s the warmest one in the bunch. It’s really nice, though you don’t see the lavender really.
Me wearing Astro Cool
Atmospheric is very pink/silvery looking on the lip. It looks cooler on the lip that you might think from looking at the tube.
Me wearing Atmospheric
Ethereal is a very cool, blue-based color and it’s my favorite because it’s the most unique looking one. You don’t really see “blue” but you definitely get a strong icy-cool look.
Me wearing Ethereal
Outer Space was a kind of milky white/pink color with heavy pink shimmer. This was probably my least favorite because of the color settling into lip lines, but would still look good layered over a lipstick.
Me wearing Outer Space
Clockwise: Outer Space, Astro Cool, Atmospheric, Ethereal
There isn’t much difference between all of these since they are so sheer. I like Ethereal, Astro Cool and Atmospheric, but would pass on Outer Space. I know I am in the minority when it comes to sheer colors like these, most people don’t like them. For some reason these ones really appeal to me though!
Availablity: MAC stores and online
Pricing: $14.50 each
