Jemma Kidd has a little set out at Target called Mannequin Skin Perfector Kit.
It features 4 complexion correcting colors in one little compact.
- The green is used anywhere you want to conceal redness, since green is the opposite of red it helps cancel it out
- The yellow is for using on under-eye dark circles because those are usually blue/purple, so yellow helps to cancel those out
- It also includes an eye and lip primer (upper right) and a pale, shimmery highlight color (lower left)
While the idea of the kit is nice, I find it didn’t work that well for me.
All the cremes are extremely thin, sheer and slippery feeling. While they have a nice consistency going on the skin, they are so thin they don’t seem to cover very well.
The green did work pretty well, and since you don’t need a lot of it to cover mild redness, I felt it was pretty decent overall.
The yellow (concealer) didn’t work at all for me. It was just too sheer and I didn’t feel it helped my dark circles at all.
The shimmer is nice, it did what I expected, but nothing to write home about.
I didn’t even try the eye/lip primer because A. I know this will not work on my eyes like Too Faced Shadow Insurance (my holy grail) and B. I don’t ever bother with a lip primer. So I can’t really comment on those.
I think this is a great idea, but failed in execution. The green and highlight was ok, but for the price I wouldn’t buy it for that, and I have other products similar that work much better.
