Um yeah, I’m always up for a trip to Fiji! Oh wait, I can’t get there right now, but maybe I can fake a tropical look by wearing Stila’s Fabulous In Fiji Palette!
This cute collectible travel palette is the final one in their super adorable travel palette line, which also includes Moscow, Tokyo, Paris and USA.
Each of these comes in a sturdy little book-like palette that opens up to 4 eyeshadow colors and a convertible color lip/cheek cream. It also includes a nice-sized mirror inside.
I love everything about these. I love the idea of colors “matching” makeup to countries. I love the designs on the front. I love that they are small and easy to carry yet don’t feel flimsy at all. Oh and I love the price. More on that later.
The colors in Fiji include
- R&R – Muted silver shimmer (E/S)
- Escape – Pale ice blue shimmer (E/S)
- Palm – Grass green shimmer (E/S)
- Wave – Deep, bright blue shimmer (E/S)
- Plumeria – Warm copper shimmer (Lip/Cheek)
L to R Clockwise: Palm, R&R, Escape, Wave
Plumeria
L to R: Palm, R&R, Wave, Escape
I am loving the colors Palm, and Escape the most, with R&R coming in third. I did have some issues with Wave, it seemed blotchy and not so finely milled as the others. I love the “coolness” of these colors, it’s what looks best on me in general.
Plumeria
Plumeria is most definitely on the warm side and doesn’t really match my skin tone all that great. I think it would look good on other people though. I do wish that the color was cooler or more pink or something because this doesn’t “go” as well with the eyeshadow colors in my opinion as another option might. It was nice and opaque though, so no worries about it being too sheer.
Overall:
I think this is a really cute, great palette and if you like cool eyeshadow colors, then this might be perfect for your next getaway!
What say you about these colors and the general idea of these kits?

oMG! I can’t think of a set of colors that would look worse on me…. Love the concept, just not these colors.
Hi SB_Sweetie,
Oh too bad! Maybe some of the other palettes are more your colors? I look best in cool tones, but can wear either as long as it’s not “too” warm!
I am definitely a “cool” gal, and even though I think these are cool-toned, they are just the wrong set of shades for my eye-hair color. I can totally see you rocking it, though! I think this palette might be best for blue-eyed gals? I have brown/green hazel.
I may have to get this Fiji one, just for Plumeria, although Palm & Wave are pretty. I just got Pretty in Paris it’s (really nice) & I plan to get the Moscow one too. I got the first one because $10 was a great price to try Stila’s Convertible Colors & shadows, even if the quality wasn’t quite equal with their usual products (I’ve only bought their Lip Glazes). Since I like the Paris one so much, I decided to get the Moscow one for the CC& 3/4 of the shadows (me+blue es=meh), plus the Artist’s Inspiration Palette.
It’s really nice to see Stila making some lower priced items, so people can try their stuff without spending a lot. Makes me more willing to try their other, more expensive products.
Hi auroragyps,
I also really want the other ones, they look like “my” kind of colors. I just think the packaging is so cute also. I’m such a sucker!
I have US one, amazing for a neutral daily look)
the shadows look a bit too bright for me. Although Plumeria seems rather nice. Are you gonna do reviews for the other palettes?
Vicky´s last post…5 things you really wanna buy for Christmas
Is the cheek/lip color creamy or is it powder? I think I might have to walk down to Urban Outfitters today to check these out. For this price they’d be great to have a work, workout bag or purse. Thanks for the post!
Hi Leslie A,
It’s creamy 🙂
Clever packaging. Not keen on the Fiji colors for myself, but they would certainly make stylish stocking stuffers for Christmas.
Oh you temptress! The price is really reasonable and the packaging adorable. Oh Lord!
These are also available at ULTA…I picked up the tokyo one and am in love with the whole thing!!! They are 10 bucks there too and they had a pretty one for Breast Cancer Awareness although they were sold out by the time I got there. The ULTA near me has them at the checkout counter for impulse buys!!! YAY.
