Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics (aka OCC) has six new loose colour concentrates (aka pigments) out for fall and I’ve got ’em for ya today!
OCC’s pigments are micro-refined, lightweight and very pigmented. The containers are 2.5 grams, which is a pretty good amount considering you only need a little and it goes a long way. Oh and yay for sifters!
As with most pigments there is a little fall-out, so make sure you are careful with application or use over a sticky-like base.
The colors are:
- Obscure – white with teal reflects
- Twirl – pale peach shimmer
- Swag – gold/green duochrome
- Smote – taupe with plum shimmer
- Dope – golden bronze
- Saturate – teal with green reflects
L to R: Obscure, Twirl, Dope
I absolutely love the way Obscure has that heavy green effect to it. Twirl is more of a less intense and more wearable color (if you don’t like WOW colors) and Dope is a very deep gorgeous coppery bronze.
L to R: Swag, Smote, Saturate
Swag is simply stunning with the gold/green duochrome! Smote again is a little more wearable and neutral, and Saturate is a really gorgeous mermaid-esque blue.

These are my first OCC pigments and I have to say I am impressed. They are as saturated and finely milled as you would hope for in a pigment, and the colors are very pretty. They have about 30 colors in all and I think these are the more “tame” ones of them all. If you are color shy or just like a more natural look, I would start with some of these.
What do you think about these colors?
