Awhile back I wrote a post about the small, yet fabulous line of cosmetics by Andrea from Evil Shades Cosmetics. Now I’ve got a blush pigment and some eyeshadow pigments for ya.
Pinup is a shimmery medium rose pink color. This has a really cool sheen to it that you don’t normally see in blushes. It’s really great for fair skin, I can vouch for that. The color is pretty vibrant so you only need a little bit when applying. It feels very smooth and blend-able, not chalky or too powdery at all. I love the container it comes in because you don’t get it all over the place!
Steele Green and Double Barrel
Double Barrel is one of the eyeshadow pigments in the Evil Shades collection. The color is a dark grey with pink and green shimmer. It too has a really nice finish and great opacity. As with most pigments you might have some fallout. To reduce that I usually put these on over a “sticky” kind of base like MAC Painterly Paint Pot, which is my exact skin color. It just helps the pigments stick when you apply than rather than fall all over your face.
Steele Green is a medium green with yellow and green shimmer. This color is totally fabulous and I love it. The colored shimmer in Double Barrel is a little more subtle than this one. You can really see the yellow which gives it a really cool two-toned look.
Double Barrel and Steele Green
I love these pigments and have really been getting into them a lot more lately. I think they feel fabulous going on and have great saturation. The only downside I see to these eyeshadow pigments (this doesn’t apply to the blush) is they don’t have the sifter in them, which can make it slightly messy sometimes. But that’s not a huge thing, just a minor one. UPDATE: These now come with sifters, yay! Stay tuned for a lot more pigments from Evil Shades soon!
Have you tried blush or eyeshadow pigments yet? Which are your favorites?
