MAC has recently introduced us to thirteen new limited edition lipsticks called Digi-Dazzle. These are out now and I’ve got a couple of them to show you.
Digi-Dazzle Lipsticks are glittery and shimmery and like nothing you have seen before. They really have a very interesting look about them and the feel…not too bad.
The formula on these was a little on the dry side as opposed to super creamy, but not anything bad at all. Since they are jam-packed with so much glitter, they do have a very slight texture – not gritty but it’s not totally smooth either, but again it’s really mild, at least for me. I am sensitive to “gross” textures on my lips and these didn’t bother me at all even after wearing them for hours. If however you need super creaminess on your lips then these might not be the choice for you.
The thirteen colors in this limited collection are:
- Smash hit – White beige
- Liquid Lurex – Tarnished golden
- Sweet Bits – Light lavender pink
- Win-Win – Light pink
- Glaringly Hip – Light Peach
- Hot Sass – Bright orange
- Naughty You – Neon pink
- Troublemaker – Magenta
- Infused With Glam – Copper brown
- Hellraiser – Light lavender
- Baby’s On Fire – Deep red
- Snazzy – Deep plum
- Wham – Plum brown
L to R: Hellraiser, Infused With Glam
Hellraiser is a pale mauve/pink with blue and gold shimmer particles.
Infused With Glam is a warm orange/brown with copper and pink shimmer particles.
L to R: Hellraiser, Infused With Glam (NC20 skin)
Hellraiser casts a very blue tone, it’s a very cool color and suited my skin tone very nicely. I love the depth of color in this one, it changes with the light.
Infused With Glam is a warm color with lots of gold/copper/orange tones in it. It does work with my skin tone somehow, but not as nicely as Hellraiser. I didn’t see as much “opalescence” with this one as I did with Hellraiser.
I really liked the ones I tried and was pleasantly surprised with the texture. It wasn’t nearly as “gritty” as I thought it would be and they lasted a good 3 hours or so before I needed to reapply. I like seeing new kinds of textures with lipstick, it keeps me interested in it, rather than always going back to gloss!
Have you tried these yet?
