What’s shakin’ party people?
Today I have a special treat for you, it’s Jessica Cosmetics new line for spring 2010 called Daydream. It’s made up of six very spring-like colors in various finishes.
The formula on these is pretty spectacular. In fact, almost every Jessica polish I have ever used has been a joy to apply (that sounds really lame, but I speak the truth!) They are very buttery and smooth, and I never have issues with drag or bald spots. Some of these were on the sheer side, but that’s the way they were meant to be so no complaints here.
Peep ’em!
Flight Of Fancy is a pale cotton candy pink shimmer. I thought this was going to just be a pale pink sheer, so when I applied it the shimmer was a nice surprise. It’s nothing ground-breaking, but a nice color and would work well in a conservative setting. This was three coats.
Perchance To Dream is a pale champagne shimmer with a frosty finish. This has a hint of pink in it also. This was also sheer and was three coats.
Starry Eyed is a light chiffon pink shimmer that has the same frostiness as Perchance To Dream. This is also a nice pretty almost neutral color. This was three coats.
Cloud Mine is a pale sea-foam opalescent green with a strong yellow flash. I absolutely love this one! I thought it was going to be too pale, but I really love the way it looks on me. It reminds me of mermaids, and I think it’s a great, unique, spring color. This was three coats.
Enchante is a hot fuchsia pink with a strong blue flash. This one is SMOKIN, ladies & gents! Seriously, I never thought a hot pink would be my fav of this bunch, but it really is. For some reason the formula on this one was even more buttery than the others and it was very opaque also. You have to see this one in person and in the sun to fully appreciate it. I think this might be my “go to” pedicure color this season! This was two coats.
Eyes Wide Open is a shimmery tangerine orange. This is another one that was unexpected for me, I wound up loving it. It has more of a tangerine rather than straight up orange tone, and worked well with my skin tone. This was two coats.
Overall I am pretty happy with this collection. When I saw the promo pics none really appealed to me other than Cloud Mine, but it turns out there are a few in here that are real winners in my book! The must haves and most unique, in my opinion are the last three, Cloud Mine, Enchante and Eyes Wide Open.
I believe these will be available in April.
What do you guys think, are you feeling any of these? Have you tried Jessica polish before?

Really pretty pale colours! I love that they aren’t streaky. I hate when you see streaks on frosty colours! I love the blue and that is one pretty pink! Its the underdones it carries, just so pretty and silvery undertone!
Hi MissDeeCanada,
Yes these were pretty streak-free, which is great!
Most of these I probably could skip – but that Enchante! That’s hot. I LOVE how glowy it is!

Hi Niki,
Isn’t it HAWT?? I am so in love with it!
I have never tried these polishes before but Enchante and Eyes Wide Open look really nice!! Where can you get these?
Hi Ireen,
You can find them online and in certain drug stores, depending on the area where you live.
Enchante is OK. Eyes Wide isn’t too awful.
Not for me though. That’s good because I’m trying to reduce my spending rather than increase it…
Enchante reminds me of Zoya Lola. I prefer Lola, but enchante is a beautiful shade nonetheless. I have never heard of this brand before.
Hi kristina,
I will have to take another peek at Lola (I think I have it) and compare!
I have reviewed Jessica quite a few times on here, they have really nice stuff!
Another pastel collection. With shimmer. *woot* Even if I avoid the sheers … 🙂
Hi laquermaniac,
Yay, glad you like ’em!
Eyes Wide Open & Enchante are my favorites. I love Hot Pink with a blue reflect 🙂

Hi Phyrra,
Me too, Enchante is so gorgeous in person also!
Normally I’m not big on pastels, but wow, I love all of these! I really like Cloud Mine especially. Enchante is awesome too, and if I had it it would be going on my toes 🙂

Hi rinni,
I love Cloud Mine and also Enchante for toes also!
Enchante looks amazing – so hot! I like Eyes Wide Open too. Maybe these will be my first Jessica polishes. And while I’m at it I just might pick up My Cabana Boy from last years spring (or summer?) collection. 😀
really didnt like em not into shimmers.
Ooh, these are really nice!

Cool swatches. The first few (paler) ones are kind-of retro, grandma, 50’s summer to me. I’m not sure that’s a good thing…But I do like the minty/seafoam green (Cloud Mine). Kind-of like Essie’s “Mint Candy Apple” with a frosty/shimmer. Yum! I could see that for summer w/ a tan. I also like the bright tangerine color (Eyes Wide Open). Haven’t seen Jessica in drugstores around me, but I’ll keep my eye out.
I like the collection but, like you, I see nothing new here. I think I’m reading too many nail blogs…I’m getting color oversaturation! hehehee!
I kinda like the pale ones for an ultra feminine look. This collection has something for everyone it seems. (except the boys! lol) It would be cool to see the last three with a matte top coat over them. I don’t think I’ve ever used Jessica polish, but I think I’ve seen the brand in salons before.

Anybody else think that “Perchance to Dream” is a rather morbid name for spring? After all, that immediately preceded “ay, there’s the rub” in Hamlet’s should-I-kill-myself? soliloquy.
The last 3 the ones that catch my eye. Never tried this brand before.

I love all of them, especially Enchante and Cloud Mine. Stunning 🙂
Love the thumbnails at the bottom. Gives us a good idea of what the collection looks like all together. Thank you, Kelly.
These all look great on your nails, but nothing is really calling my name.

How pretty!
I have to say that I think the Jessica nailpolishes always have the smoothest formula and are my favorite to apply.

Not feeling the first three, but the second three I absolutely love. Enchante, for me, has a plushy look to it like I just want to reach out and pet it. I actually had some Jessica nail colors back in 2006 when my Walgreen’s was still selling a limited amount of them. They applied quite nicely on my toes too, I used them a lot for my toenails skittles. Damn, I wish I hadn’t thrown them out!

I love Cloud of Mine but I actually really kind of like Flight of Fancy. It is what I think Princesses Rule! should look like.
