Hey there Internet, how are you today?
Remember waaaaaaay back last week when I posted the first part of OPI’s Holiday Wishes collection? Well I finally have the second half to show you. The sad part is, the sun decided to hate me this day, so the pics aren’t as nice as they should have been, sigh. Oh well, I guess I can’t control Mother Nature.
The formula on these is really good and thick. Almost all of them were two coaters.
For me, this is the better half of the collection (read: no red’s). Let me know what you think!
Shim-Merry Chic
Shim-Merry Chic is a caramel colored polish with gold flake glitter, and green and gold micro-glitter. I love this one because it’s unique, and really pretty. This was three coats for full opacity,
Smitten With Mittens
Smitten With Mittens (ok I lied about no more reds, so sue me) is a bright cherry red with medium gold glitter, and red micro-glitter. This is pretty though, isn’t it? This was two coats.
Merry Midnight
Merry Midnight is a dark grape purple with red flake glitter, and blue and purple micro-glitter. Totally gorgeous, I LOVE this, and it’s so different form what you would expect from OPI! This was two coats.
Holiday Glow
Holiday Glow is a plum/brown color with gold micro-glitter. Again I love this one and trust me when I say it looks a billion times better in the sunlight. This was two coats.
All A-Bordeaux The Sled!
All A-Bordeaux The Sled! is a dark, vampy red/brown creme. This is super shiny and dark. This was three coats.
Sapphire In The Snow
Sapphire In The Snow is a blurple creme. This leans more towards the purple than blue side. It’s very pretty, but I am burned out on this particular color at the moment. This was two coats.
Overall these six are much more interesting to me than the previous six I showed. I am loving the flake glitter in these, I don’t remember seeing that before from OPI.

M-hm, I’ve ordered four from part II and only two from part I. The flakies are definitely a new one, coming from OPI! I’m very excited about those. Also Smitten with Mittens, although I have a zillion red glitters already.

Probably going to get Holiday Glow, Merry Midnight and the Ginger one from the first set of swatches. I am very fair skinned so that last one probably won’t look the best, but I am getting it anyway!
I loved to see the glitters in a matte finish…I’m hopping to find merry midnight for an early present for myself! I just love it!

I really like all of these, although the red & blurple shades aren’t very unique. I’d definitely like to purchase the rest, especially the Shim-Merry Chic, Merry Midnight, and Holiday Glow. I actually don’t have any OPI yet, as I’ve only recently been getting back into the polish (amazing how quickly I’m acquiring them, though!). Which etailers and brick & mortar stores carry OPI? VV, do you use base & top coats? If so, which do you prefer? I’ve used Zoya, and they’re great for longevity; however, I sometimes have issues with bubbling. I’ve also used Seche, but I don’t think it lasts as long as the Zoya; it also seems I get tipwear very early on (like the same day usually). Also, I’m hoping to place a large order soon. Are both Victoria’s Nail Supply and Head2Toe Beauty good companies to deal with? Thanks so much, and I love your blog!

The best etailers for OPI are Head2Toe Beauty, 8ty8 Beauty supply and Transdesign. The prices are much cheaper than in regular stores. In fact I very rarely will buy any polish in a brick and mortar store because they are so much cheaper online!
I too like Zoya’s color-lock system, but also have issues with bubbling. It’s also not as shiny as I would like. My magic formula is using Nubar’s Foundation base coat and their Diamont top coat. This seems to be the key for keeping polish on my nails the longest. Though that’s still only 48-72 hours max for me!
Oo, I always love it when OPI comes out with something unexpected…flakeys! I’m on a strict no buy right now (even passed up the Zoya promo) but hopefully a few of these will find their way into my Christmas stocking! 🙂

They HAVE to be better than part I because last week I ordered three of these (All A-Bordeaux The Sled!, Sapphire in the snow and Holiday glow) and none of part I 🙂 I haven’t got them yet, but I’m waiting patiently… not!!! Merry Midnight reminds me a little bit of Nfu Oh’s #51, which I also like. VV, thanks a lot for this great blog. It’s one of the very few blogs I read every day.

Wow, i LOVE Merry Midnight. Purple is my favorite color, so I can’t have too many purple polishes. I also love Shim-Merry Chic, its so different from anything that I have.

Shim-Merry Chic, Merry Midnight, and Sapphire In The Snow are my picks from this bunch. i just don’t care for reds that much and i absolutely love that OPI has finally done some flakie polishes 🙂 sapphire looks unique to me for my collection, but it’s a maybe on whether i’ll actually get it or not. shim-merry is soooo dope, it is one that absolutely cannot pass up! p.s. i’m loving your nails, they look flawless!

These colors are so pretty I love part 2 instead of part1. I will be getting most of part 2but am not crazy about shemmerry chic and am so done with the blues. Thanks for mentioning 8ty8beauty.com they do have awesome prices. Thanks.

didn’t think they where matte just hoping to see them on a blog done in matte…I have seen so many! glitters that I love and then you see them done in matte and it’s like a new polish…like fortune teller I was going to pick it up then I saw it on a blog done with a matte finish and was blown away…I just loved it…

Love these! I bought the Merry Midnight, the Smitten with Mittens, the Holiday Glow, the Shim-merry Chic, and the Ginger Bells. They were all just gorgeous, and the Ginger Bells was really appealing in person. Thanks so much for the wonderful swatches; they really do help me make decisions about what to buy!
I am INSANE. I was in Selfridges yesterday looking at these and I did not buy any. What is wrong with me? Aside from the fact I’m on a no-buy and knew I needed some bits from Illamasqua. I’m really regretting passing these over now I’ve seen your pics. I should at least have got the minis 🙁

Muuuch better than the previous set – i mean come on, does anyone even wear red anymore? Lol! I LOVE Midnight, I just ordered it – cant wait till it gets here! But suprisingly I’m really digging Shim-merry and Holiday Glow and I’m so not a caramel or brown kind girl. I’m so glad u swatched these because I’ve seen them at e-tailers and I had no idea from photos of the bottles that they were so glittery and gorge! Love love love!

Oi vei. More polishes to add to my list. But the two I really want are the ones with the flakies–I never tried them before. And since I pretty much have no hope of buying them at my local Regis in the mall, I’ll just have to go online for them.

These are the only colours I wanted from this collection.I wore Holiday Glow for an ENTIRE WEEK! and that almost never happens.I was hoping OPI would include a green,but perhaps that’s too much to ask.
Oh OPI, why do you ignore the greens so? And I don’t mean the dark dark greens like Aragon or the light colours like green grape. I want a true green OPI. *Sadface*

I just ordered Meery Midnight and Holiday Glow from 8ty8Beauty…I’ll never buy OPI for 8.50 @ Trade Secret again!..it’s also wierd how they don’t have in yet. Shimmery polishes are the only ones I wear for the most part..can’t wait to get them..!
