It’s hump day peeps! Today I want to show you some seriously killer new polishes from LA Girl. These are from their Rock Star collection and there are 16 in total. I have the darkest, vampiest ones for you today in Part I of a three part series!
LA Girl is a cosmetics line that comes from the company Beauty 21 Cosmetics. They started in 1985 and carry a wide range of very affordable cosmetics from nail polish to eye liner to body glitter. They have been declared “Cruelty Free” by PETA as well, which means they do not test on animals, so yahoo!
The formula on all of these was really nice. Not too thick or runny and nice shaped brushes. I had no issues with any of these and I used three coats on all for maximum color payoff.
Addict macro shot
Addict is a medium cherry red polish with various sized and shaped chunks of gold and pink glitter. Some of the glitter in here looks more like flakes, which I like a lot. I really like this shade though it’s not the kind of red I would normally wear.
Groupie macro shot
Groupie is INSANE!!! I mean the pictures say it all don’t they? This is a fabulous blurple (purple and blue) color with tons of blue and lavender chunks of glitter. This has now taken a spot in my favorite blurple’s of all time!
Party Animal macro shot
Party Animal is a dark vampy wine red with small pink and gold glitter in it that’s dispersed in a wide range. Did that make ANY sense? What I mean is, it’s not totally packed with glitter, it’s more evenly dispersed, yet still fantastic.
Rockstar macro shot
Rockstar is my favorite or 2nd favorite one (Groupie might be my fav). Despite what it looks like on the swatch of all 4 fingers above, it’s not totally black, as you can see. It’s definitely a black base, but it’s jam packed with grape colored glitter in different shapes and sizes. some of the glitter in this one also have that flake effect. I love it because I own nothing like it and it’s just cool as hell. This will look black indoors however, just know that going in!
Punk macro shot
Punk is a really cool dark shade of blue with lots of light blue glitter chunks. This one is very deceiving in the bottle because it looks purple, like Groupie actually does on the nail, but it comes out blue obviously.
Heavy Metal macro shot
Heavy Metal is a dark gunmetal grey with silver chunks of glitter, again different sizes and shapes. Even though this is one is closer to a lot of other polishes I own, I really like it because its SOOO packed with glitter.
Overall out of the 16, these ones were my favs because the dark colors just totally rock! Stay tuned for Part II coming soon!
You can find these on their website here and they retail for $4.00 each.
