The same friend who turned me onto O2 Skin nail polish also was able to snag me some of the infamous OPI Yokohama’s, which were exclusive to Japan. They have leaked into other places like China, Australia and New Zealand and you can find them here if you Google it, but people are charging between $26-29 bucks per bottle, which is outrageous! Two of the colors I really wanted were gone when she went to pick them up, so I have only two to show, but they are really great anyway!
Baby Blue really isn’t “blue” per se. It’s more of a blue/green with a very strong yellow duochrome effect. It’s like nothing else I own and so fabulous! The application was fabulous if a wee bit sheer. The color reminds me of mermaid scales, if such a thing existed. This was three coats.
Twilight is a very pretty lavender with really fine light blue shimmer. Again, I don’t have anything else like this and this too was three coats.
There are like 10 more Yokohama’s I am dying to get my grubby little hands on, but alas, I don’t think I am going to be able to get them any time soon. I REALLY wish OPI would make all their collections available to the world because I know these would sell like hot cakes if they started selling them in the US or Europe! If you want to see them all, check out Steph’s Nail Juice blog here (find the “Japanese Exclusives” column on the right side of her page). She’s in New Zealand so she was able to get them more easily, lucky girl!
