Orly’s new collection for summer 2009 is called Tiki Time and it’s a collection of four bright (but not neon) cremes. I REALLY like this whole collection and am very happy that A. it’s not a HUGE collection (4 seems just right) and B. that they are not neon’s. Not that I don’t like neon’s, it’s just that I have been seeing a lot of them lately. I had absolutely zero application issues with these. They were smooth, opaque and fabulous! I have heard people say that Orly takes a long time to dry, but I have never had that experience and these dried just fine. Pics taken in sun with no top coat.

Mint Mojito is just a perfect mint green creme. We have been seeing a lot of variations of mint creme’s this season (MAC Peppermint Patti, BB Couture Laguna Lagoon and Make Up Store Paula) but I think this might be my favorite one. This is what I would call a true mint green. The application was just perfectly buttery smooth and opaque in two coats.

Calypso Breeze is a very pretty medium blue creme. This is another color we have seen a lot of this season (Essie Mesmerize, Sephora Blue Grotto and Misa On The Edge) though these are not exact dupes to it. The application was great and this was only two coats.

Sol Cabana is a tangerine colored creme that’s vivid and very summery. I don’t think it’s a totally “original” color but it’s really nice either way. This was two coats.

Teeny Bikini is a perfect summery cherry red creme that would look so awesome sunk into the sand in Fiji. Gee can you tell where my mind is right now? Great application and opaque in two coats.
If you are interested in these you can find them here and they retail for $3.50. Note: Mint Mojito is out of stock at the moment. I think mint is THE super hot color this summer!

Oh, how exciting I love all these colors! They all look great on you also! Do you have a favorite out of all the summer collections, for this summer that you keep turning to, to wear? I’m glad my local Sally’s usually gets these collections in, for me to snag up! haha.
Also, Do you think the Calypso Breeze is a match to ‘opi- dating a royal’? I don’t like buying doups! Thanks.
Hi Emily,
I swear every time a new collection comes out it’s my
fav until the next one comes out LOL! No really, some of my favs so far
are China Glaze Kicks Part I (which I will be showing soon), Color Club
Electro Candy and Barielle Sugar Rush.
I don’t have OPI Dating A Royal so I can’t really comment if it’s a dupe to Calypso Breeze, sorry!
If there was a yellow polish, you could wear a skittle manicure! They all look great on you as usual.
I can’t wait to get Mint Mojito! I have colors that are similar to the other three…and I saw on other blogs that Calypso Breeze is very similar to Misa Living on the Edge.
Hi Kasey,
You will love it! And yes, those others are closely dupable.
