Evening peeps! Hope you are having a fun filled Saturday night! I had a great time in Napa today, the weather was so awesome. I ate a wonderful meal and went to an authentic European castle/winery in Calistoga (I want to share some pics with you of this so check for a new post soon!). Also got a wee bit of shopping in and got a ROCKIN leather Coach purse for $100 bucks at the outlet stores, yay! Ok enough about that, I also managed to do some swatching of Barielle’s new collection called Sugar Rush for summer. It’s totally gorgeous and I LOVE each and every color. It’s my favorite summer collection so far! Unless otherwise noted, the formula was really great on all of these. All pics taken in sun with no top coat.

Another super cool color! Swizzle Stix is a really pretty sky blue creme. It’s almost robin’s egg, but lighter. I thought it might be a dupe for other blue cremes I have, but nope, it’s not! This was two coats.
You can find Barielle’s Sugar Rush collection here and they retail for $8.00 but if you buy two, you get one free!

Oh, the Swizzle Stix blue is Smurf blue!!! Just what I need! My mom’s pet name for me is Smurf (I got the pet name due to my being born blue) so why not blue polish?
Sweet Addiction and Grape Attack are my other favorites. Sweet Addiction looks like a peppermint leaf green or the spearmint color in spearmint mints (which are totally disgusting, by the way).
The yellow one makes me cringe though. It could be because it’s mustard yellow. I think of sinus infections whenever I see that color so that’s probably why!
Hi Kate,
Smurf blue is a great name, I love The Smurfs!
I like these all so much it’s hard to me to pick the best ones. It’s like one minute I love Sweet Addiction the most then the next it’s Swizzle Stix and on and on.
I can see how some people won’t like the yellow it’s definitely not a “tame” color for sure!
This is such a gorgeous group of colors. I’ve been drooling over that Grape Escape for well over a week now, but I can’t find it anywhere!! Is there another color (hopefully more widely available) that it’s comparable to? Perhaps Orly Rio Nights? I’m getting ready to make an order on H2T, and I’d love to add a grape creme to my list. 🙂
Hi Rachel,
As far as I know, the only place to get Barielle’s are online (the link is on my posting) or at some CVS stores. I don’t have Rio Nights yet (its on it’s way to me) so I can’t compare them yet. Sorry!
Brilliant swatches! How does Sweet Addiction compare with Dirty Sexy Money; Decadence with SH’s HoneyDew and Grape Escape with Night Hydrangea in terms of shade? I know the finish is a little different.
Hi arkanefyre,
Sweet Addiction has more “mint” green in it, whereas DSM is more of a real teal color. Also DSM has a muted kind of “gray” effect and Sweet Addiction doesn’t have that.
Decadence is a completely different color than Honeydew. Decadence is much darker and more of a blue/ sea green whereas Honeydew is more of a minty light teal, with more green in it and not much blue, if any.
Grape Escape is a slightly deeper shade of purple than Night Hydrangea, and of course as you mentioned the finishes are very different (creme and shimmer).
Wow! Thanks so much for your quick reply! I think I’m going to get DSM instead, because I love smoky type colours, but maybe Decadence. Grape Escape sounds awesome, because there are no grape juice creams, so I just might have to get that. Too bad the etailers don’t stock Barielle 🙁
Thanks so much for your quick reply!
I love all the shades but am partial to Grape Attack. They’re on my polish list to buy!
Hi Lucy,
Yes, Grape Escape is a great one!
Decadence looks lovely!
Hey!! i loveee these colors! but id like to ask you something, do you usually wear the same color on your toes and nails?? is it common, or is it not in at all?
Hi Andy,
I usually don’t. For me it’s too “matchy matchy” plus there are SO many good colors out there I like to wear two different ones at the same time. I don’t really know anyone who does that, but that doesn’t mean you can’t do it if you want to!
