As soon as I saw swatches of OPI’s Holiday in Toyland collection on The Nailphile and All Lacquered Up, I knew I was a goner. I didn’t order them all, I got the five I liked the best judging from their swatches, and I am NOT disappointed! All pics are taken in sunlight with no top coat. Enjoy!
“Sheer” Your Toys!
I love this polish, it’s one of my favorites this season. It’s a really gorgeous lavender/grey shimmer that really isn’t “Sheer” after 3 coats. One of the coolest things about this (which you can’t see in my pics of course) is that it has red sparkles in it! They are subtle but there and it makes it like nothing else I own.
Brand New Skates
This color went on very sheer at first but after 3 coats it was nice and opaque. It’s a wonderful grey base with a lot of fine gold and green glitter in it. Again it’s unlike anything else I own and I love it. I did have an issue (read earlier post) with this polish when I first tried it. It chipped less than 24 hours after I applied it, however I think it might have been the base coat/top coat application that caused it rather than the polish itself.
Baby It’s “Coal” Outside!
Another stunner for me in only 2 coats. The color is a deep grey, almost black but not quite, with a lot of silver micro glitter. I am a total sucker for anything grey so of course it’s a winner in my book!
A Ruby For Rudolph
This is a really pretty medium red with lots of fine red glitter. It only took 2 coats to bottle color. It’s definitely not a color I would wear every day, but great for the holidays!
Don’t Toy With Me!
Here is more of a “pinky” medium red again with tons of fine glitter. I liked this one a bit better than A Ruby For Rudolph mainly because I don’t have a lot of pink/red glitter polishes and it’s slightly deeper. This is 2 coats here.
Vamp it up!
