I can finally now bring you my China Glaze Bahama Blues swatches now also! This highly annoyed me actually because I ordered these about 10 days before I received them from Head2Toe Beauty and just got them on Thursday. Sorry they are so late! I actually was surprised because I liked every single one, although some better than others. These are arranged here by lightest to darkest.
Bahamian Escape – Sun
Wow this was really chalky and opaque. It took 2 coats but could have been 1 thick one. It’s a really pretty light robin’s blue creme color. The formula was smooth even though it was thick. It is similar to CG’s For Audrey, but this has less green in it.
Caribbean Blue – Sun
I think this was my favorite (or tied with another) of the bunch. I couldn’t believe how great it applied! I used 3 coats to get rid of the VNL though. It’s a true robin’s egg blue (I know I said that about Bahamian Escape also but that’s a lighter robin’s egg) with some very subtle champagne colored glitter in it. When I wore this yesterday I couldn’t stop looking at my hands and a women in my work cafeteria, who I never met before, grabbed my hands and was like “Wow that’s a gorgeous color what is it?” Yahoo!
Blue Island Iced Tea – Sun
This is another really pretty blue. It went on a bit sheer and took 3 coats but very smooth. It’s a medium blue with a ton of silvery shimmer in it. I would say it’s my 3rd favorite in this collection.
Blue Paradise – Sun
This one took me by surprise! I was expecting this to be one of my least favorites in the group because it was just a plain dark blue in the bottle. When I applied the first coat I was not impressed with how uneven it was. By the 2nd coat it evened out and looked nice and opaque. Still, I wasn’t in love until…I went outside and saw it in the sun! Now I would say it’s tied with Caribbean Blue. It’s a really lovely denim blue creme that just flatters cool toned skin so much. Yum!
Calypso Blue – Sun
Lastly we have Calypso Blue and this time last is least for me in this collection. I have to say I do like it, it is pretty, it’s just not a stand out one for me. It’s a deep indigo blue creme which only took 2 coats to bottle color. It’s shiny in the sun and flattering, but it just doesn’t *wow* me quite as much as the others did. Overall though this collection is one of the best so far this year as far as I’m concerned. Now can we please get a green collection like this? Oh and purple?
Vamp it up!
