Zoya Wonderful Collection for Fall 2010 Swatches & Review

Hello again!

I know many of you have been excited and anxious to see the new Zoya collections for fall 2010! Well I just posted Wicked and now have Wonderful, which consists of 6 new creme colors. Oh and did I mention one of them was named Kelly? YES, finally we have a Zoya Kelly, and I might add it’s totally unique and amazing :)

The formula on most of these was superb. Most only needed two coats for complete opacity.

Check out the swatches & review below!

Kelly

Kelly is a dark grey with purple/blue undertones. I am actually very happy that they didn’t go with a typical “Kelly Green” color for this one. They even told me they thought that would be too obvious. This color is SO TOTALLY up my alley! Not only is it a grey creme, which I love, but it has thins amazing smokey blue/purple to it which makes it very unique compared to other grey cremes I have. I heart it and am really happy this is my namesake :) This was two coats.

Zoya Wicked Collection for Fall 2010 Swatches & Review

Good morning!!

Guess what I have today for you? One of Zoya’s new collections for fall 2010 called Wicked. This is a collection of 6 new amazing glittery, metallic colors that I think will knock your socks off! And let me first tell you the hell I went through before swatching these.

I left work at 3:25 to take the company bus to the BART train station, which is what I do every day. I found out that there were no trains running to my side of the Bay though because of an accident. Well it so happens that Mr. VV drove into the city, so he came by the BART station to pick me up. He got there at 3:50. We were stuck in GRIDLOCK traffic all the way home. I got home at 6:50!! So I spent 3 hours and 25 minutes trying to get home. All because of a stupid Giants game that just let out at rush hour. Ridiculous; I have never been in traffic like that. We lierally could have been in Lake Tahoe or Reno in a hotel room relaxing by the time we got home!

So I get home, am starving, but then see I got the Wicked collection delivered. The sun was disappearing, I was in the middle of cooking dinner, yet I swatched! I’m a multi-tasker at heart :) I even stood in the middle of the lawn while the sprinklers were going off to take these pics, so I hope you enjoy them! Bear in mind these were taken at 7:15 so the sun was going down.

The formula on these was really great I didn’t have any issues whatsoever. They were all opaque in two coats.

Edtya

Edtya is a fern green with multi-colored shimmer. This is totally stunning in person, this pic doesn’t do it justice at all. The green is a deep greyish/green, and all the green, gold and other colored shimmer is just fantastic! LOVE IT and don’t have anything like it.

Zoya Flash Collection Summer 2010 Swatches & Review

G’day mates!

Alright so yesterday I showed you Zoya’s new Sparkle collection now today I’ve got Flash. This is comprised of six bright cremes.

These are definitely more “mellow” than the Sparkle collection, but that’s not to say they are boring. I happen to be someone who loves a good creme, and I wound up liking every single one. I can’t believe Zoya put out 12 colors and I like ALL of them. That’s SO rare!

The formula on these was pretty fantastic, I cannot say I had any problems at all. These were all two coaters.

Peep ‘em!

Jolene

Jolene is a bright candy colored cool pink. This is most perfect for summer, and even though it’s pink, I really like it on me.

Zoya Sparkle Collection Summer 2010 Swatches & Review

Happy Tuesday!

Let’s hope today is a lot better than yesterday, which was the worst Monday since I can remember!

SOOOO as you probably already know Zoya has two new collections out for summer this year. The one I am showing today is called Sparkle, and it’s six amazingly sparkly, glittery metallics.

The formula on these was totally fantastic. I had great coverage, none were too thick or too sheer, and they dried pretty darn quickly also! Most of these I used three coats on because I am a 3-coater by nature; but you could do two.

Check them out below!

Zoya Reverie Spring 2010 Swatches and Review

Hallo mates!

As you may or may not have heard, Zoya has released their spring collection, hurrah! It’s called Reverie and it’s six really cool colors.

I must admit, when I saw promo pics I wasn’t all that excited about most of these. However after seeing them in person and swatching them, I have totally changed my mind. These aren’t just plain old cremes or colors we have seen before. They are shimmery, metallic, gorgeous iridescent/duo-chromes!

You may be asking, what exactly is a duo-chrome or iridescent? I looked online a ton and in dictionaries in my house, and couldn’t find any true definition for the word “duo-chrome”. In fact almost all instances of it on Google were people describing makeup, so I don’t think its “technically” a word. However, iridescent is the same thing as a duo-chrome and that is a word. Iridescent colors “flash” showing other colors when you move them around in different lighting and angles. They produce a display of rainbow-like colors or can be seen as having an “oil-slick” effect. Hope that makes sense!

I think this probably goes without saying at this point but I will anyway. The formula was fabulous on all of these, and they were all two coats.

Zoya Laney Zoya Reverie Spring 2010 Swatches and Review
Laney

Laney is a silver iridescent metallic that flashes yellow/green, very subtly. This picture doesn’t show the yellow/green, but it is there. There was a tiny bit of streakiness with this color, but nothing to really complain about!
