Happy Monday morning! I hope your weekend was restful and pleasant!
Today I’ve got the LVX Winter Resort 2015 collection, which is the latest from the 5-Free, cruelty-free, vegan brand. The collection features six new shades. Most of these are cremes which only required two coats. One is a shimmery metallic which was also just two coats.
Before I dig into the post I wanted to say you may notice my hands look, ahem, extra moisturized in these photos. Because my nails are severely cracked and dry lately, I am trying not to use acetone remover as much. The non-acetone one I have (generic from CVS) has a lot of moisturizer in it which makes me look a bit greasy here. Sorry!
Mineral is a pale greyish/white creme. Kind of a refreshing shade I think. I haven’t seen too many pale grey cremes lately so it kind of feels new to me. This was two coats.
Femme is a light baby pink creme. For once a light pink creme that didn’t require three or more coats on me to get it covered!
Eiffel is a metallic bronze. Such a great shade! I do love a nice bronze and this is the perfect shade. No brush-strokes to speak of and it was two coats.
Denim is a medium denim blue creme. It’s an understated kind of muted blue, which is what makes it look more denim-esque. I love denim blues, I am kind of obsessed with them and this one is great. This was two creamy smooth coats.
Vamp is a deep plum creme. A very dark purple with a super shiny finish. This was just two coats to cover and it’s very even looking.
Crimson is a deep red creme. This may be the least unique shade here and it was the one I had to use three coats on as well. Nice, but nothing to drool over.
I’m really digging Mineral, Eiffel and Denim. I think they are the most interesting shades here, and they had a great formula as well.
You can find this collection on their website and they are $16.00 each.
Which of these colors are you into right now?
