Orly Bloom Spring 2010 Collection Swatches and Review

Afternoon ya’ll!

The site is back up and running after a snafu this morning!

Orly has a new collection for spring 2010 called Bloom, and I have a few of the colors for you today.

The formula is fantastic on all these. Creamy, opaque, smooth and just two coats on all. Check them out below.

Blushing Bud

Blushing Bud is a bright, cool pink creme. It’s super duper pretty with my skin, and I actually really like it. Makes me JONES for spring in a big way!

butter LONDON JELLY Collection Preview!

Hey there!

I have a sneak peek at butter LONDON’s spring 2010 collection which is called JELLY.

There are three colors in the collection, and they are all sheer and jelly-like. They are meant to be layered, and can also be mixed and matched!

I’m not sure of the exact date that these will be sold yet, but am thinking sometime in February.

I will have swatches of these soon!

Orly Metal Chic Metallic Matte Collection Swatches and Review

Orly Glam Rock Orly Metal Chic Metallic Matte Collection Swatches and ReviewHappy New Years Eve folks!

Orly has released a collection of metallic matte polishes called Metal Chic. These are all metallic, matte and yet still packed with glitter and shimmer.

The formula on these was fabulous. It took just two coats to get them opaque, they applied evenly and smooth and dried quickly. I’ll wager they look amazing with a top coat on also, but I haven’t yet tried that. Check them out below.

China Glaze Up & Away Spring 2010 Collection Swatches & Review – Part II

Hey everyone!

I have part II of China Glaze’s Up & Away spring 2010 collection for you today.

These are also all cremes, but they are brights, not pastels like the ones yesterday. Needless to say these all applied a lot less streaky than the pastels did. They were mostly two coats compared to mostly there coats with part I. Peep ‘em!

Happy Go Lucky

Happy Go Lucky is a sunny yellow that’s on the cusp of being too warm for me. This was much less streaky than Lemon Fizz, but Lemon Fizz looks better for my skin tone.

China Glaze Up & Away Spring 2010 Collection Swatches & Review – Part I

Happy Monday morning to you all!

How was your Christmas? Did you get everything your heart desired?

Today I have part I of China Glaze’s Up & Away Collection for spring 2010.

This collection is made up of 12 cream colors that range the gamut from yellow to pink to royal purple.

This first half is made up of lighter pastel colors. I will admit, the formula on some of the lightest ones was a wee bit thick and streaky. It wasn’t anything unmanageable though. I was able to get them even with three even coats, and some patience. The yellow, of course, was the hardest to get even. Check them out!

Lemon Fizz

Lemon Fizz is a bright, cool yellow. I LOVE this because it’s not an orange based yellow, and those never work with my skin tone. This was the problem child of the group, so use a good base coat, and then three even coats of color.
