Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Nail Color for Spring 2010 Swatches and Review

Hey there people of the world!

Today I’ve got yet another new collection from Sally Hansen, but this time it’s from their Insta-Dri line. I only got 4 of the colors, since the others I saw didn’t appeal to me that much. Not sure how many new ones there are but I’m guessing between 6-8 total.

As you may know these are polishes made to be pretty opaque and dry super quick, and they don’t disappoint in those areas. These were all 2 coats and dried very quickly. My only complaint is that the brushes on these are very thick and flat and can be hard to get used to for some people.

Sorry for the sad state of affairs my cuticles are in here, but I had been swatching for hours at this point, and they were feelin’ the pain!

Lickety-Split Lime

Lickety-Split Lime is a bright lime green creme. This isn’t neon, but it’s extremely bright. I think it actually looked good with my skin tone even with all the yellow in it.

Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear for Spring 2010 Swatches and Review

Happy Monday! If you are in the US you might have a vacation day from work, like me, whoo hoo!

Sally Hansen has some great new spring colors out in the Xtreme Wear line and I have some of them to show you. I didn’t get them all, but I got the coolest looking ones I saw. I think there were a few missing from the display, but I also saw a pink and a coral that didn’t seem all that interesting to me, so I didn’t purchase them.

The formula on these was really great. Aside from the wand on these being really long and a little harder to manager than a “normal” polish, I didn’t have any issues.

Say what?

You might notice that I now have watermarks across all my pictures. I am REALLY unhappy about this because in my opinion watermarks are ugly and ruin pictures. However because I am dealing with my pictures being stolen literally 1-3 times a week by various eBay sellers and other e-tailer websites, I feel I needed to try and slow the theft down. I’m so sick of emailing people constantly telling them they cannot just swipe a picture simply because it’s on the web and available. Everything belongs to someone! I know a lot of people still have their pictures stolen even with watermarks, so I don’t know how much of a difference this will make. If it makes no difference then I’m just gonna remove them, because I really do hate them.

Anyway, check out the cool colors below! These pics were taken with cloudy skies above, so they are actually a little brighter in real life.

Sally Hansen Wet Cement Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear for Spring 2010 Swatches and Review
Wet Cement

Wet Cement is a light cement grey creme. It looks exactly like the name describes in fact. I love grey polishes and I have a bazillion of them. None are dupes for this. This is much lighter than CND Asphalt, lighter than Barielle U-Concrete-me, lighter than OCC Dangerous and lighter than RBL Stormy (but not much). This was two coats.

Sally Hansen Special Edition Glitter Nail Polish Swatches and Review

Edit: It has since been discovered that this collection isn’t new (according to a few readers) but old, and possibly from the 90′s! That does explain a lot, LOL. Thanks all!

Dobri ranok (good morning in Ukrainian)!

Sally Hansen released some special edition glitters recently, and one of my readers was nice enough to send them to me! I never would have found these myself because none of the drug stores around me are that great with their Sally Hansen updating.

A word about the formula. It isn’t the best. That’s actually being very generous, it’s pretty awful. Only one of them, Hologem which has a clear base, wasn’t a hot streaky mess. They were very watery, and just plain icky. On two of them the glitter settled to the bottom of the polish so it wasn’t very prominent. These just felt like super cheap rush colors to me somehow. Check them out and judge for yourself.

Hologem is a clear base with silver holographic glitter. This was the only one I didn’t have issues with. This was two coats.

Sally Hansen Hi-Definition Nail Polish for Fall 2009

Top o’ the mornin’ to ya! It’s Monday yet again…I wonder how many good compared to bad Mondays we have to deal with over a lifetime?

Anyhoo, I’ve got Sally Hansen’s new Hi-Definition colors for fall 2009 to show you today. These are some seriously awesome colors and they are all shimmery metallics. One of them, Opulent Cloud, is the exclusive shade of the fall 2009 Tracy Reese runway show. She created this color to show off the many hues in her fall collection and you will see how awesome it is below.

The formula on these is really great. I had no issues and all were totally opaque in just two coats. Peep ‘em out!

Gigabyte

Gigabyte is a soft light pink that flashes gold. This is definitely a cool color, even with the gold, so it looked really great on my fair skin.
