The Pixi Beauty Palette Bronzette Summer Glow for summer 2015 has arrived, are you ready to get your glow on?
This new limited edition palette features a bronzer, blush and highlight shade as well as nine eyeshadow shades and three liner colors. Everything is categorized into trios such as eye liners, crease shadows, eyelid hues and highlights, but of course you can use them however you please. I do find that to be helpful for days when I am just completely bereft as to what I should do with my eye makeup. It also comes with a dual-ended sponge applicator.
Also new is LipLift Max which is a clear gloss which supposedly helps hydrate, firm and plump lips. It has a tingly minty flavor and includes aloe, jojoba and chamomile.
Clockwise we have the Highlights, Eyelid Hues, Crease Shadows, Eye Liners, Bronzer, Highlighter, and Blush.
This gloss is completely sheer but it does feel kind of nice on the lips. It has a very slight tingly sensation, nothing too intense or burn-y. It reminds me of the mint Jack Black Lip Balm. It’s a wee bit sticky but not too bad.
The bronzer is a medium orange matte shade.
The highlighter is a gorgeous shimmery beige/gold.
The blush is a shimmery golden pink which is very pretty.
The first shade is a dark shimmery olive green.
The second shade is a dark shimmery brown.
The third shade is a dark matte black with slight shimmer.
The olive and brown shades had the best texture and pigmentation here.
The first shade is a metallic bronze/gold.
The second shade is a shimmery taupe/gold.
The third shade is a metallic copper.
All of these felt pretty nice and had good pigmentation.
The first shade is a shimmery pink/mauve.
The second shade s is a light gold/pink shimmer.
The third shade is a shimmery peachy/gold.
I got the best payoff from the first and third shades here.
The first shade is a pale opalescent pink.
The second shade is a shimmery cool-toned gold.
The third shade is a shimmery gold/yellow duochrome.
I love all three of these colors, they’re so pretty!
All in all this is a really good palette. I love the variety of colors here, and the shimmer is very pretty. It’s not a glittery type of shimmer so there isn’t much, if any, fall-out. The blush and highlight shades are beautiful and I really like nearly all of the eyeshadow shades as well. I feel like the LipLift Max isn’t really much to write about though. I mean it’s clear, glossy and it tingles, but that’s about it. I feel like $14.00 for a clear gloss is just too expensive, but the palette is priced decently for what you get.
You can find these on the Pixi website or at Target.
