Contrary Polish Polish With A-Peel is a new late summer collection which goes on sale today at Llarowe!
And yes, it is still summer! We still have 5 weeks left, and I am trying to hang onto it as long as I can but my brain keeps slipping into fall/Halloween mode, haha!
These colors are all inspired by delicious fruit that you peel, of course. 😉 They are bright jellies with shimmer and utterly perfect for summer. All of these were three coats for me since I like my jellies to be as opaque as I can get ’em. Of course you could also do two coats if you aren’t as nutty as I am.
Meyer Lemon is a lemon yellow with orange and gold microshimmer. For me this was the one with the least amount of coverage, even with three thin coats. It’s a really nice color combination, but for me, this is the exact shade of lemon I can’t wear because it makes my skin look weird for some reason.
Key Lime is a lime green with green and gold microshimmer. Love this color! It’s so pretty and it did a really nice job covering in three thin coats.
Valencia Orange is a bright orange with red, orange and gold microshimmer. Loving this shade and loving the shimmer with it. This one was definitely more opaque on me, and completely covered with three thin coats.
Pink Grapefruit is a bright pink with orange and gold microshimmer. This is another one which was very pigmented and covered really nicely. So shimmery and juicy looking!
This collection screams summer and fruit to me, it’s really spot-on with the names. The microshimmer, as usual with Contrary Polish, is beautiful and really makes these colors special.
