Way back in July (I think) I bought some nail shades from Rite Aid from a brand called Bonita. I had never heard of or seen this brand before, and they had this cute looking Halloween collection, so I picked a few up. And now finally 10,000 years later, I have swatches.
Since first seeing the brand I have learned some things about them. They have about 300 shades of nail polish including an essential line, petite line, magnetic line and the salon line. These ones were just $3.99 for 0.5 oz, so they’re not expensive at all.
Lacquer Treats is a medium pink with a silver shimmer running throughout. I don’t really think of this as a typical Halloween shade, but it is pretty. The formula was really good. It covered very smoothly, was self-leveling, and I only needed two coats.
Cocktails and Carving is an orange with gold shimmer. Ok now this is a typical Halloween shade and it’s a great orange. This one too had a pretty good formula, but it wasn’t quite as self-leveling as Lacquer Treats. This is two coats.
Dying To Party is a white shade with silver shimmer. This is a great shade and I had high hopes, but the formula let me down. It was very uneven, streaky and even after three coats, it wasn’t completely smooth. Drat!
Eat, Drink and Be Scary is a deep blue with blue and silver shimmer. This is a truly gorgeous shade, much better in real life than in photos. The formula was excellent, and it only took two coats to cover.
You can find this line on their website or at your local Rite Aid.
