Welcome to another edition of vs.!

The face off today features three similar colors. All are black with silver glitter, but how closely do they really compare?

The Heavyweight: NARS Night Breed is the newest of the three colors and the most expensive and possibly coveted.
The Middleweight: Nubar Knight’s Armor is from spring of 2010 and not too expensive but not super cheap either.
The Lightweight: Orly Goth is the oldest of the three. She’s also the least expensive and the most easily found.

In the bottles they look pretty similar. All are black with heavy silver glitter. You can tell from looking at the bottles that Night Breed and Knight’s Armor look like they have heavier more prolific glitter than Goth. In Goth you see a lot of the silver kind of sits there not looking very well dispersed.

NARS Night Breed Nail Polish Collection for fall 2011 includes four new glittery, shimmery nail shades.

When I saw the promo for this collection I knew there was no point even trying to resist most of them. These are my kind of colors!

The one I did skip was Night Rider, which is a soft plum/purple with silver glitter.

These are based off the NARS Night Series Eyeshadows, of which I have none for some reason! I might have to remedy that with their new limited edition Night Series Eyeshadow Palette though, which looks amazing.

The formula, as with most NARS polish was amazing. It was thick, smooth, flowed evenly and all were just two coats. Night Porter was almost one!

It’s possible that I am a horrible person for showing you this. Horrible because this was a very limited edition collection, only 100 were available, and I jumped on it as soon as I heard about it.

It’s long-gone by now, but MAYBE one day the colors will come back as permanent colors. You never know…There was also a collection for New York, which contained a different set of colors.

NARS Rajasthan Eyeshadow Duo came out for fall 2010, but I only recently decided it was something I needed for myself.

The color combination of this set isn’t like anything I already own and I had been hearing raves about how nice the texture and pigmentation was.

I headed over to Beauty.com when I had a discount, and purchased it. No regrets!

Somehow I am just now discovering the magic of NARS Eyeshadow Duo’s.

Don’t get me wrong, I have a few of these from long ago, but mostly had overlooked them for some reason. Eyeshadow overload perhaps? But when I was perusing Beauty.com looking to spend some money when they had a sale, I came across a whole bunch of colors that I felt I seriously *needed* and bought a couple.

Rated R ($33) is a duo I cannot believe I didn’t already own. The duo contains a bright shimmery acid green and a bright shimmery swimming pool blue. The green ALONE is worth the price for me people!
