MAC Glitter and Ice is just one of the holiday collections MAC is putting out this year. It’s a virtual plethora of wintery goodies!

Glitter and Ice is a 34 piece collection filled with Paint Pots, Mineralize Eye Shadows, Beauty Powders, Nail Lacquers, Lipsticks, Dazzleglasses, Technakohl Eye Liners and more.

This collection is inspired by something I am very familiar with. Ice skating! In fact, the model in the promo pictures for it is Johnny Weir. I was an AVID ice skater for years when I was younger and in fact took classes 5 days a week for hours on end with three different instructors. At the time I really had planned on going to the Olympics. Then I hit thirteen years old and lost interest in it. Too bad because I was really good, if I do say so myself.

Welcome to the world of Miss Piggy for MAC!

Miss Piggy for MAC is a limited edition small collection featuring three pieces for your eyes. It was created in celebration for her return to the big screen in Disney’s upcoming The Muppets movie, releasing November 23rd.

Confession: I am not a puppet person and never really watched The Muppets. Not sure why, but I always preferred animation to puppets. BUT I always loved Miss Piggy! She’s a no-holds-barred kind of lady, and I loved that about her.

After I reviewed some of the new MAC Posh Paradise collection, I decided I needed to pick up one of the other Mattene Lipstick colors called Rare Exotic.

As you might have discovered by now, I am a huge fan of bright pink lipstick. And since I really like the formula of these, I knew this one was one I would regret passing up!

MAC has a new foundation out this fall called Matchmaster Foundation SPF 15.

This new foundation spans a wide range of colors starting off with 1.0 and moving to 10.0. There are fourteen shades in all (1.0, 1.5, 2.0, 3.0, 4.0, 5.0, 6.0, 7.0, 7.5, 8.0, 8.5, 9.0, 9.5, 10.0) of these medium build foundations.

This foundation was 15 years in the making for MAC and features some patented pigment technology which encapsulates micronized pigment particles in translucent spheres. What that does is give a true-to-life shade to your skin while allowing your natural skin color to show through. The result is a demi-matte finish.

This SPF 15 foundation is long-wearing (up to 8 hours they claim) and formulated with Laminaria Saccharina Extract which helps calm skin’s sebaceous glands, which results in less oil being produced. There are also soft focus powders and spherical polymers which help minimize the appearance of pores, lines and wrinkles.
