Illamasqua not only has killer nail polish colors, but they also have a great line of cosmetics, including some lip glosses called Intense Lipgloss.

After pining away for these for about a year I decided to try two of them out and I am pleased to say I really like them!

Illamasqua Pastels Nail Varnish Collection for Spring 2010 Swatches & Review

Yep, it’s Tuesday. My second least favorite day of the week next to Monday. ;-)

The much anticipated Pastels from Illamasqua for spring 2010 are here ladies & gents! I have two of the four to show you today.

Can I just say, I was worried about the formula. Like really worried. I thought for sure these were going to be super thick and streaky and hard to apply, like most pastels are. I was SO wrong! I kid you not when I say these applied like any of the most perfect polishes I have ever used, pastel color be damned! Another positive is they were totally opaque in just two coats! Peep ‘em!

Caress

Caress is a pale baby blue color. First off I must say I love this color, it’s one of my favorite kinds of blues. And secondly, I don’t have any other pastel color like it, so it’s unique as well!

Illamasqua Jan Nail Varnish Swatches & Review

Happy Friday!

I decided to finally show my swatch of Illamasqua’s Jan nail varnish that I did about a month ago. I figured I already had it swatched, so why not just post it already?

Jan

Isn’t Jan lovely? She’s a dusty pink/mauve creme and she flows sooooooo smoothly. She’s also a two-coater, BONUS! I knew the second I saw this one in the bottle that I was going to love it since I love pretty much anything with a dusty effect to it.

This isn’t a new color, it’s part of their core collection and you can find it on the Sephora or Illamasqua websites.

What do you think about Jan?

In other news

I am getting back into the mood to do some swatching so hopefully the sun will cooperate this weekend and I will have fun stuff to show next week.

I’ve got quite a few new collections to cover including: Misa’s Mardi Gras, BB Couture For Men, Deborah Lippmann and those sexy Rococo colors! And hopefully *fingers crossed* the new pastel Illamasqua’s!

Illamasqua Snap Nail Varnish Swatches & Review

Good afternoon people of the world!

Recently, I was looking at Illamasqua’s line of varnish on Sephora’s website and realized I was missing Snap. Blasphemy, I thought as I quickly put it into my shopping cart. Seriously, I don’t know how this one managed to sneak by me, but she’s mine now and she’s a beaut!

The formula on this baby was a little tricky. She’s very thick and temperamental. You have to wait a few minutes after the first coat to apply a second or you will get bald patches and streaks. However, she’s so thick that two coats is all you’ll ever need. She took a wee bit longer to dry as well, but it’s well worth it!

Snap

Snap is a deep pewter metallic with silvery shimmer. You know I love me some grey’s and this is probably one of the best ones I have ever seen. It’s dark and vampy, it’s metallic, but also shimmery and it looks like molten metal. What more can a girl ask for? The wear on this puppy has been really great also. I managed to get three full days out of it, which for me isn’t all that common (especially for a metallic, they tend to get chippier sooner). I wore it over Illamasqua’s base coat and the top coat I used was Nubar Diamont. This is two coats.

If you like deep greys or colors that look like melted metal, this is for you!

I got this at Sephora and it was $14.00. I believe it’s part of their regular collection, so it’s not LE.

On another note…
