Essie has created a mini polish set exclusively for Nordstrom and fall 2009. There are four colors in this collection, which are all really nice, however I’m not sure anything is totally *original*.

The same day that I received these, I also received Essie’s new Matte About You top coat. I decided that it would be the perfect time to swatch these along with the matte top coat to give you an idea of what it can do. Check ‘em out.

Angora Cardi

Angora Cardi is a raisin colored mauve creme polish that screams “fall” to me. It’s very pretty and flattering and I wound up liking it on me a lot more than I thought I would. The application was great, though a little harder to apply because of the smaller brush. This was three coats.

Lemon Balm

Happy Monday! Dior came up with a cool new color exclusively for Nordstrom called Lemon Balm. I have no clue what the name has to do with the color since it’s not “lemony” at all, but it IS incredible either way and I totally heart it! Peep it out!

Morning peeps! NARS has a really fabulous fall 2009 collex coming out and it includes an absolutely stunning nail polish color called Tokaido Express.

I can honestly say I do not own a single other nail polish that looks like this one. They describe it as being a “black amethyst infused with gold” which is somewhat accurate from what I saw, but it’s so much more…Check it out!

Today I am showing you Jessica’s Burlesque Beauty collection, which is new for fall 2009. The idea behind this collection was a menagerie of “Moulin Rouge” like colors that are both dramatic and glamorous. There are six colors in this collection and all are cremes with the exception of one which has a very subtle shimmer. Jessica’s polishes are eco-friendly, meaning they are big 3 free. They also contain UVA/UVB protection in them to protect against sun damage and Vitamin A for nail conditioning.

I have to say I wasn’t much of a Jessica fan until their spring collection came out this year. Their colors never spoke to me before, but I really think this is their best collection yet! Though all the colors may not be ones you have never seen before, the formula is freakin fantastic. I mean FANTASTIC! These were SO amazingly creamy, smooth, opaque and easy to apply. I barely had any nail clean up afterward because the polish stayed where I put it with no runs. All colors applied in just two coats with 1 exception.  Read on!

Feather Boa

Feather Boa is a really pretty mauve purple with a slightly smoked out effect. This is particularly flattering on fair skin tones I think because of the cool undertones in it. I really liked this color a lot and can definitely see myself wearing on nails and/or toes for fall.

As promised, here is Part II of OPI’s Spain collection for fall 2009. These are the colors I feel are more safe and more easily dupable to others we’ve seen before. All of these in theory are nice colors and they mostly all looked good on me, however they were all a little plain and conservative for my tastes. It’s funny because most of these colors seemed like summer colors to me rather than fall.

The formula was perfect on all of these. All but one required only two coats and like I’ve said before, that’s always a plus! Check ‘em out.

Pink Flamenco

Pink Flamenco is my favorite out of these six. It’s a cool, bright pink creme. I am loving this color right now as a pedi and it’s very summery and pretty.
