Are you a wine fanatic? If so you might love the colors in the new Duri Wine Tasting Party Collection for fall 2011.

The collection definitely isn’t one I would classify as unique or mind-blowing. It’s pretty subdued and fairly predictable. Most are reds but there is one color that I truly am mesmerized by!

The formula was not as consistent as Duri usually is for me. It could be because a few of these were jelly-like consistencies. I found the shimmery one and creme ones to be the best smoothest formula.

Grape Swirl

Grape Swirl is the color I mentioned above as being the one I absolutely love in this collection. The color is a dusted greyed out grape purple with blue and green and pink shimmer and a very slight frost. This was like I expect Duri’s formula to be. Totally buttery smooth and almost applied itself. This was two coats.

Duri’s new Back To Classics collection for spring/summer 2011 is comprised of twelve new colors all inspired by “The Classics”.

There are six colors for spring and six for summer and they are:

• Romeo and Juliet – Pale pink
• Release My Heart – Pale apricot/pink
• Don’t Think Twice – Deep grey
• Almost In Love – Light pink
• Forget Me Never – Medium pink
• The Renaissance - Medium lavender
• Mona Lisa Smile - Off-white
• To Be Or Not To Be – Taupe/grey
• Taming of the Shrew – Bright cherry red
• Tudor Rose – Deep red/pink
• Pocketful of Rainbows – Medium mauve
• Lavender The Magnificent – Deep royal purple

I have been a big Duri fan for quite awhile now because they make some really amazing colors and their formula is most excellent. I LOVE the new(ish) bottles also!

Duri’s Angels & Demons collection is comprised of two parts. Angels is the more subtle, lighter collection and Demons is darker and sexier. I reviewed Angels here, and today I have Demons to show you.

This collection suits my tastes a lot more than Angels did and it definitely feels like winter.

The formula is really nice with all of these. All with the exception of one are two-coaters. Oh and one is a dupe for another recently released color…

Hello!!!

Yay aren’t you glad I am finally posting some new nail swatches?

Thanks again for sticking around while I took some time off!

Today I’ve got the second half of Duri’s Paparazzi collection, this time for spring (the other part of this Paparazzi collection was for summer).

These colors are bright, vivid and very “spring-ish”, though I didn’t like them quite as much as the summer collection.

These are (almost) all what I would classify as shimmery metallics and the application was pretty great. I believe most were just two coats. A couple had very minor streaking, but not that bad.

Drama Queen

Drama Queen is a pale, lemon yellow color with gold shimmer.Yay another yellow that looks good on me whoo hoo! For a yellow this applied surprisingly well, only very slight streaking, and I think that was more due to the metallic finish rather than the color. This was two coats.

Hey there.

Yet another Monday to struggle through, let’s hope it goes FAST!

Today I’ve got Duri’s Paparazzi collection for summer 2010. I will be reviewing the spring Paparazzi collection tomorrow. I know I am doing these kind of backwards, but I am most excited about this one.

I’ve reviewed many Duri colors in the past and found that I like the vast majority of them. They have a lot of colors that have the ‘lit from within’ thing going on, and I love that.

The colors in this collection don’t seem like typical summer colors, but that’s fine with me because most of them are very unique and gorgeous!

Tabloid Rumors

Tabloid Rumors is a steel grey with pink, yellow, green and blue shimmer. I thought this was going to be a plain old steel grey shimmer when I saw the bottle, but I was very pleased that it wasn’t. I think this is a really unique grey and I love it. This was two coats.
