I am a huge liar. I tweeted out that I didn’t really want to buy the new Deborah Lippmann fall colors because they were chunky glitter and I wasn’t that into glitter. And yet, here we are.

To be fair, these were sent to me for review, I didn’t actually purchase them. However now that I know how awesome they are, I WOULD purchase them!

What made me shy away from these were the last chunky glitters I had reviewed from her. I had a lot of trouble getting them to look decent, and felt it was more time consuming to place the chunks “just so” than I wanted to deal with. But these are much better.

Bad Romance

Bad Romance is a black base with purple micro and hexagonal glitter in it. The black base is on the sheer side, but really is almost perfect with two coats. I should have used three, but I was in a serious hurry to beat the lowering sun, so I kinda slapped it on quickly. I love this color and the chunks didn’t give me any problems. I let the first coat dry for about 2 minutes before I went for the second one and that way, the larger chunks stayed where they were supposed to. This was two coats.

Yes, it is Thursday which means Friday is right around the corner, whoo hoo!

Today I’ve got the two new colors from Deborah Lippmann for spring 2010. They may not be what you think of when you think spring. They aren’t totally bright or saturated, more subdued and dare I say, professional?

The formula was pretty good with these, as hers usually are. Excellent consistency and no problems. I have to say though I’m not totally gaga (no not Lady) over these though. Peep ‘em and see for yourself!

I’m Not Innocent

I’m Not Innocent is a pale nude/peach creme. This was very sheer and a wee bit streaky. I think it would look more saturated and even if you used a coat of white underneath. I’m not really a fan of sheers or nudes for that matter, so this didn’t suit me personally. It is a really good professional color though and would work for any conservative situation.

Afternoon/evening everyone!

Today I am starting a new series called “VV Top 5″, which will feature my top 5 favorite polishes by color and finish.

I thought for the month of December I would do holiday colors, and the first color that comes to mind when I think of Christmas is red. So here we have them!

These are my favorite 5 red’s that I actually own. Some of the pics were swatched awhile ago, so the pictures don’t all look totally consistent (sorry!).

They are in no particular order.
