The Deborah Lippmann Sweets For My Sweet Spring 2016 Collection arrived this month at stores and I have the low-down for ya.
This limited edition collection features six mini-bottles in candy-colored pastel shades. They all have a cream finish and covered in two coats over a ridge-filling base coat. But there were some definite issues with the formula – more on that below!
Sugar, Sugar is a pale orange.
Lemon Drop is a pale, cool-toned yellow.
Sweet Pea is a light green.
My Boy Lollipop is a pale blue.
All Day Sucker is a light lavender.
Candy Girl is a pale pink.
Ok now let’s talk about formula. It was weird, it almost seemed dry, and I had to get a lot on the brush for one layer. They definitely aren’t as creamy and smooth as her regular polishes, and they seemed like a much “cheaper” formula. The colors are lovely but the formula was just no good for me and a couple of the brushes were wonky as well.
Is this a yes or a no for you? Do you like pastel cremes?
