China Glaze Khrome Collection Swatches and Review

Hi all!

Today I’ve got a new collection from China Glaze called Khrome. This is a set of six metallic (or chrome) colors. One I actually showed you already in another post (Millennium).

The formula on these is most excellent. They are ALL one coaters! Also they aren’t as streaky as you might expect from a metallic. I didn’t have any issues, as long as the coat I applied was even and thin. Enjoy!

Millennium

Millennium was reviewed last week in another China Glaze post I did because I didn’t know at the time it was part of Khrome. It’s super, duper silver, like foil silver. It’s THE most silver polish I own!

China Glaze Fortune Teller Swatches and Review

Good Wednesday morning everyone!

Today I am showing you possibly the most perfect Halloween polish ever. It’s by China Glaze, and it’s called Fortune Teller. This is a Sally’s exclusive, and if you don’t have it already you must try to find it, it’s amazing!

The formula is really excellent on this, its thick and chunky, but also very opaque. You will only need two coats. It does tend to be rough feeling because of all the glitter, but a good thick top coat will help with that. Peep it out!

Fortune Teller is a black jelly base filled with orange glitter. The glitter is both small & round AND small, medium & large hexagon shaped.  I love it, it’s quite simply perfect. As I mentioned I only needed two coats and it’s just fabulous.

I probably won’t wear polish on Halloween night as it doesn’t really go with my costume, but I might wear it the rest of Halloween weekend! Oh and in case you were wondering just what I am going to be, the plan is Anne Boleyn. I am pretty sure she didn’t wear polish, sadly. Oh and don’t worry, I will be posting pics icon smile China Glaze Fortune Teller Swatches and Review

China Glaze Chrome Nail Polish Swatches and Review

Happy Monday morning to ya!

As you probably already know, China Glaze has released 50 new colors in their Glitters and Chrome Collection, some of which are already available in stores and some which aren’t quite yet. I already reviewed some of them here a few weeks ago and today I’ve got some of the new chrome ones.

The formula on these is pretty great and opaque, but use a light hand as chromes can get streaky. These are all two coats.

Millennium

Millennium is a metallic silver. This almost looks like my nails are wrapped in silver foil it’s SOOOO chrome. I love it. I think this is the most silver looking polish I’ve ever used. This might be part of their upcoming Khrome Collection (not to be confused with the Glitter & Chrome Collection) which is a six piece set. I don’t know though, I have no information on this directly from China Glaze so I don’t want to confirm or deny that.

Nail Polish Haul

Morning!

Over the last year I had been on the hunt for my #1 lemming which was China Glaze Out On Safari. I had looked high and low, and no one seemed to be selling it on eBay or anywhere else online. Then recently, I saw new swatches of it on Flickr so I emailed the person to ask her where she got it. I was really hoping whoever sold it to her had another that they would sell me. Well she responded and said she was actually a fan of my blog! She found the color in a local salon by her house and he told me that she never used it, other than to swatch it once, and would I like to have it? I almost screamed with delight, I was so excited. I asked her if she was SURE she just wanted to give it up and she said yes.

When I got it in the mail it was in a huge box. I was like, wow that’s a lot of box for one polish. When I opened it up there were TWENTY THREE other polishes in the box!!! She sent me twenty four polishes out of the kindness of her heart for free! Some of these brands I have never even heard of before. I am so grateful to her for this, people amaze me sometimes. icon smile Nail Polish Haul

So you HAVE to check out her Flickr stream, she has great photos (and nails) and also does incredible eye makeup (she’s a MAC makeup artist). Her account is Lextard. Also be sure to check out her makeup pics on the right hand column, especially the FOTD’s, they rock and I sure wish I had her skillz!

China Glaze Glitters

Morning party people!

Today I’ve got some of China Glaze’s new glitter nail polishes. They are coming out with FIFTY glitters, if you can believe it. Ugh, I fear I will need an entire new storage cart just for my China Glaze at this point! And I have heard that they will also have some other glitters that are exclusive to Sally’s and not even part of the 50!

In general I am not a huge fan of glitters. I like them (some of them) but don’t LOVE them. I feel a wee bit too old to be wearing a lot of them, especially the ones with huge chunks in them, so I tend to stick to polishes with smaller glitter pieces when I wear them. Another issue for me with glitter is that they tend to be chunky, not smooth and that kind of drives me batty. icon smile China Glaze Glitters

The formula on these is thick. You definitely need a good 2 minutes drying time between each coat and you will need three coats for all of these for maximum impact. Most of these have different shaped and sized glitter in them. I didn’t show these with a top coat and you’ll see that some look really chunky. A good thick top coat like Poshe or Seche Vite will help smooth them out though. Enjoy!
