China Glaze Party Hearty Nail Lacquer Fun!

Happy Saturday!!

So by now most of us have seen the China Glaze ‘Tis the Season to be Naughty and Nice holiday collection, so I thought I would have some fun.

One of the stand out colors is Party Hearty. It’s a glitter packed red, green & gold polish that is just BEGGING to be layered. I decided to layer it over other colors in this same collection so you can see how well they work together.

Check out the holiday Festivus below!

China Glaze ‘Tis the Season To Be Naughty and Nice Collection Holiday 2010 Swatches & Review – Part II

Here is China Glaze ‘Tis the Season To Be Naughty and Nice holiday collection part II. This is going to be short on words and “fancy” pics, because I’m just not feeling wordy, and besides, you’re here to see the swatches anyway right? icon smile China Glaze Tis the Season To Be Naughty and Nice Collection Holiday 2010 Swatches & Review Part II

The ones in this post are the remaining 10 of the 16 piece collection. I reviewed the others here.

Snow

Snow is a stark yet creamy looking white creme. As with most whites it went on really streaky but after three coats it looked pretty even and nice. Nothing groundbreaking here, but it’s a nice white. This was three coats.

China Glaze ‘Tis The Season To Be Naughty and Nice Collection Holiday 2010 Swatches & Review – Part I

China Glaze Holiday1 China Glaze Tis The Season To Be Naughty and Nice Collection Holiday 2010 Swatches & Review Part I

China Glaze is putting out a monumental holiday 2010 collection this year called ‘Tis the Season to be Naughty and Nice. It’s comprised of sixteen (SIXTEEN!) new colors!

They have featured some of the standard holiday colors we expect such as green, red, white, silver and gold, but also some deep plums and blue colors.

The collection features various finishes too, which I am really happy about. I love having options, a full on 16 piece glitter set or creme set would make me bored after a bit, but this is perfect.

Because this collection is so large I am breaking it down into three separate posts. Today’s post features:

  • Party Hearty – Green, gold & red chunky glitter
  • Peace On Earth – Olive green shimmer
  • Mistletoe Kisses – Green glitter
  • Frosty – White frosty shimmer
  • Jolly Holly – Forest green shimmer
  • Sugar Plums – Plum shimmer

China Glaze Fight Like A Woman Collection Swatches & Review

Believe it or not, October is fast approaching. October is not just for Halloween, but also is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

China Glaze has a new collection called Fight Like A Woman that was created to bring awareness about breast cancer. They will give a portion of proceeds to the International Agency for Research on Cancer.

You may or not may know this, but I hear about breast cancer every single day when I’m at work. I work for a Biotechnology company that makes a widely used breast cancer drug, so it’s definitely not a topic I only think about one month a year. But I do think it’s great when companies try to help out in any way they can by raising awareness.

The formula on these was really totally fabulous, not a problem to report.

Encouragement

Encouragement is a light baby pink with silver shimmer. How can I put this…I LOVE THIS COLOR! Really. I saw the 3 pinks, and I knew they would be pink because that’s the color of breast cancer awareness, and I didn’t expect to totally love any of them. But I do. This reminds me of the dress the good witch Glinda wore in The Wizard Of Oz, all sparkly and pretty. icon smile China Glaze Fight Like A Woman Collection Swatches & Review This was on the more sheer side, but I used three coats and I think it looks great.

China Glaze Vintage Vixen for Fall 2010 Swatches & Review

Good evening!

I was so excited about these I swatched them as soon as I got them this afternoon, and wanted to post them as soon as possible.

This of course is China Glaze’s new Vintage Vixen collection for fall 2010. Yes fall. Already. We are not even into summer yet, but fall colors abound. But you know what? That’s fine with me because the fall collections are always my favorite. That’s when we see most of the darker and more weird colors come out, which I adore.

I must admit when I saw promo pics of these and heard the word “frost” being tossed about, I wasn’t all that thrilled. But it turns out I REALLY like the majority of this collection and was pleasantly surprised how un-frosty they turned out to be. They are more metallic than frost.

This collection comes in two separate sets, but I am showing them all to you now. Just so you have the info, here is how the sets are broken down:

Part 1 includes:

  • Classic Camel
  • Swing Baby
  • Ingrid
  • Goin’ My Way?
  • Foxy
  • Riveter Rogue

Part 2 includes:

  • Hey Doll
  • Bogie
  • Emerald Fitzgerald
  • First Class Ticket
  • Midnight Mission
  • Jitterbug

The formula was totally great on almost all of these. I had no problems with any of them but some were more opaque than others.

Check them out below!

Classic Camel

Classic Camel is a khaki/yellow/beige color with gold glitter flecks. This has a very warm yellow base but surprisingly didn’t totally clash with my skin. I was most excited about this color because it looked the most unusual from the promo pics. I was right! This was two coats.
