BB Couture Wild West Collection For Men Swatches & Review

BB Couture Wild West BB Couture Wild West Collection For Men Swatches & Review

BB Couture Wild West is a twelve-piece collection of amazing colors. As per the norm as of late, there are six colors “for men” and six “for women”.

If you aren’t familiar with BB Couture they have a whole line of polish in square bottles aimed towards men. There really is no difference in those and their other colors other than the bottle shape. Obviously anyone can wear anything, and they all are gorgeous!

Anyway when I hear about a western collection I get all giddy inside because China Glaze Rodeo Diva is one of my all-time favorite collections, and those were all western inspired as well.

Today I am covering the “for men” colors.

BB Couture’s formula is really quite spectacular, and these are as well. All of them were smooth and buttery and applied so nicely. The one negative is that I noticed the brushes do get flooded with color, so make sure to really wipe off any excess on the brush before applying. All of these covered perfectly in just two coats.

BB Couture Infamous Lovers Womens Collection Swatches & Review

BB Couture’s Infamous Lovers collection is twelve colors in total with 6 being “the men” and 6 being “the women”.

I reviewed the men the other day and today I have the other half.

Normally I think of the women as being the better half (haha), but not in this case. While there are some colors here I like,  I am definitely feeling the men’s side much more.

I feel like some of the colors here just weren’t as saturated and deep as I would have liked. The formula was good, though a few did need three coats, and a couple were a little gritty without a top coat.

Pocahontas

Pocahontas is a medium taupe base with micro-glitter in silver and pretty sparse pieces of black glitter. I like this color, but kind of wish there was more of the black glitter to make it extra interesting. This went on a little sheer and seemed more watery than the others. This was three coats.

BB Couture Infamous Lovers Mens Collection Swatches & Review

BB Couture has two new collections for us this fall called Infamous Lovers. One half is the men, designed in the “For Men’s” square bottles, and the other is the women in the standard round bottle.

Today I’ve got the men’s side for ya.

The formula is great, I had no issues at all. Most were just two coats and they are smooth and opaque.

BB Couture John Smith BB Couture Infamous Lovers Mens Collection Swatches & Review
John Smith

John Smith is a pale beige/taupe creme with microscopic specks of silver glitter and slightly larger black specks. The black specks are barely there and come out pretty random on the nail, which is kind of odd. I love BB’s black specks normally, but these just kind of look like maybe I got a piece of dirt on one nail as it dried (see ring finger). The color isn’t my fav on me, it’s a little too nude looking, but it would be prettier on darker skin tones I think. This was three coats.

BB Couture Cantina Collection Swatches & Review

Morning!

It’s been a seriously hellish weekend for me, hope yours was better. We are preparing the house for new carpet in almost the whole house, so we actually have to pack everything as though we are moving out, YUCK! Hello knick-knacks, sigh. Also we are painting the office, 3rd bedroom and hallway before the carpet goes in so as you can imagine, it’s a lot of work in a few days time. I will show pics of the fresh paint when it’s all done because hey, it might not be polish, but it is colorful paint still!

As you might know, BB Couture has two new collections out right now. One is The Saints Of Ruin which I just reviewed the other day. The one I am showing today is called Cantina. This is much more of a classic “summer” collection, meaning bright, fun, cheerful colors and fun finishes.

I did have an issue about the formula on a few of these not because they were hard to apply, but because they were too sheer for my tastes. But to each his/her own!

Read on!

Pina Colada

Pina Colada is a very pale, lemon yellow with yellow glitter. As you can see, this is very sheer. I think it could look cool over black or something though. This was three coats.

BB Couture Saints Of Ruin Collection Swatches & Review

Happy Friday!

I’ve got a really cool brand spankin’ new BB Couture collection for you right now. It’s called Saints of Ruin and it’s comprised of 6 new very dark, delicious colors.

It’s not what you think of when you think of summer, but that’s what’s great about it! But I will be swatching their other new collection, Cantina Nights, which is more summery ASAP.

The formula on these was really great as usual. They were pretty opaque I only needed three coats on one of them. The metallic ones aren’t very streaky at all, which is nice.

Check them out!

BB Couture Dying Time BB Couture Saints Of Ruin Collection Swatches & Review
Dying Time

Dying Time is a dark, steel grey metallic with flecks of pink, green and blue shimmer. It’s great because it’s a SUPER dark grey and the colored flecks make it more interesting than a plain old metallic. This was two coats.
