Unruly Brows? Get ’em in Shape with Tweezerman!

Do you pay $20-30 every couple of weeks to get your brows waxed, trimmed or threaded by a professional? I do! I have been going to the Benefit Brow Bar for many years for this service simply because I didn’t have the know-how or tools to get my brows into shape myself. This is where Tweezerman comes in!

Tweezerman has been the “gold standard” for tweezers for what seems like ever. And there is a reason for that. They have really great ones! In fact I reviewed a few of their products back in June 2009.  Their tweezers are stainless steel and super sharp and precise. They will also sharpen them for you for free (when they become dull over natural usage) if you send them to their Sharpening & Service Department in New York!

You might be like me and think, a tweezer, is a tweezer, is a tweezer, right? Wrong! There are actually a few different types for different usages. And even some with super cute patterns!

But not only does Tweezerman have tweezers, they have all the tools necessary for you to maintain your unruly brows.

Here you see a variety of what they can offer. Various sizes, shapes and tips. From top to bottom:

Milani Color Perfect Lipstick for Spring 2012 Swatches, Photos & Review

Milani Color Perfect Lipstick

New from Milani this year are eight new additions to their Color Perfect Lipstick range. These will be exclusive to CVS stores and hopefully out soon!

These lipsticks don’t look like that standard ones when you open the top. They are kind of geometric looking. Futuristic! They have a contoured tip for easier application and are super smooth and creamy on the lips. They feel very moisturizing and really comfortable. There is one thing though…

They have a very specific floral scent and taste. Very lipstick-y. So if you have an aversion to scent/taste, these might not be for you.

The Look For Less: Issue 1

Welcome to a new series I am starting called The Look For Less. In this series I will be comparing a higher end item with either a dupe (or something very similar) of a less expensive item.

Last week I reviewed the new NARS Thakoon Collection and one of the colors, Lal Mirchi, stood out for me. However not only is it a bit expensive, but it happens to be the one only sold at their Bleecker Street store. Not easy to get. But I have you covered!

China Glaze Oh How Street It Is is from the 2009 Kicks collection, and is a very similar orange/red shade. Both are bright and have a creme finish. While Oh How Street It Is is a little thinner of a formula and you may need three coats, it’s very similar to Lal Mirchi. It’s a little more orange than orange/red like Lal Mirchi, so not a dupe, but similar!
