Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner Swatches & Review

Bobbi Brown Long Wear Gel Eyeliner

This might amaze you but I have hardly ever tried anything from Bobbi Brown!

In fact the only things I have tried are her under-eye moisturizer (which is great) and her pink concealer (which is my go-to pink concealer). Other than that, I am a Bobbi Brown “virgin”.

I was at Bloomingdales getting my brows done at the Benefit Brow Bar, and while I was there I wanted to try out the Clinique Gel Liner I have heard so much about. Well they were out of the black and I happened to tweet that. A couple people tweeted back and mentioned I should try the Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Gel Eyeliners so I headed over to the counter and took a peek.

I was kind of mesmerized by what I saw. There were a lot of really nice looking shades and some other items I was really interested in. I settled for just getting two of the liners though in Black Ink and Denim Ink. For now. ;)

Abbi Kona Coffee Moisturizing Body Scrub Review

A bbi Kona Coffee

ábbi (ah-bee) Bath & Body Company is an organic company that was founded in Southern California by a woman who wanted to supply products to not only women but also men.

History of ábbi

ábbi founder Cheri Johnson was in senior management at a large professional services firm. But to her friends she was simply known as the beauty product junkie! As an environmentally conscious mother, Cheri was uncomfortable with the fact that she could only understand about a quarter of the ingredients in the body sugar scrubs she was using. She found that most of what was listed on the label was stuff she never heard of and worst of all that “stuff” had to be re-mixed prior to each use because the oil would separate from the sugar! Believing she could use her passion to create a superior product, she spent over a year developing the perfect all natural body sugar scrub. A sugar scrub that didn’t have to be mixed over and over; a sugar scrub with a subtle lasting scent; a sugar scrub that left your skin feeling silky smooth to the touch; and a sugar scrub made with environmentally friendly “stuff” you can actually understand and feel safe having in your home…..what a concept! After using her new creation for over a year, she finally decided it was perfected enough to share with friends. It became an instant success. Not only did they start requesting her to make the product for them, but they urged her to start her own company and so became ábbi…

ábbi’s products include sugar scrubs, body cremes, bath oils, and lip scrubs.I had the pleasure of trying out the Kona Coffee Moisturizing Body Scrub. Some of their other scrubs are:

  • Mandarin
  • Peppermint Candy
  • Chocolate Souffle
  • Cotton Candy
  • Island Coconut
  • Tahitian Vanilla Bean
  • Island Coconut Lime
  • Hawaiian Lei
  • Eucalyptus Spearmint
  • Lavender
  • Rosemary
  • Cherry Blossom
  • Abbi Man Scrub

Salon Express As Seen On TV Nail Art Stamping Kit Review & Photos

Salon Express Nail Art Stamping Kit

The “As Seen On TV” Salon Express Nail Art Stamping Kit is normally not my kind of thing since I’m not much into nail art.

But after seeing how easy it seemed to use and how inexpensive it was, I felt I should at least give it a proper go. That’s my inner Brit coming out there.

I had also heard that these were at both CVS and Rite Aid and the kits were slightly different in that they contained different stamping plates inside. That’s true! I bought it at both CVS first then Rite Aid, and the plates are all different.

The kit comes with

  • 1 Scraper
  • 1 Stamper
  • 1 Holder
  • 5 Design Plates (each with 6-7 designs on them)
  • Instruction guide

Holiday 2011 Gift Ideas – My Favorites This Year

As crazy as it seems, Christmas is less than THREE WEEKS away now! Are you prepared?

I kind of wish everyone on my list was a makeup fiend or at least wore makeup or nail polish because gift giving would be so much easier. Unfortunately for me, hardly any of my friends and definitely no one in my family wears makeup!

But perhaps you are looking for that perfect thing to give to your friend or sister or niece. Here are some of my favorite holiday collections that I’ve reviewed over the last couple months. You can click on the photo to read the original review.
