Sheswai Lacquer Spring/Summer Collection Swatches & Review

Sheswai Lacquer Sheswai Lacquer Spring/Summer Collection Swatches & Review

Have you heard of Sheswai Lacquer yet? I reviewed them awhile back and now they have three new colors out for spring/summer.

Sheswai is big-3 free and the caps are made from sustainably harvested wood from family owned tree farms. In fact, they are the first ones in the industry to use this type of cap, reducing the need for plastic. Not only are they eco-conscious, the caps are really nice, and possibly my favorite ones from any brand!

Oh and did you see how pretty the design on the front of the bottle is?

butter LONDON Spring/Summer 2012 Swatches

butter London Spring Summer 2012 butter LONDON Spring/Summer 2012 Swatches

Hallo!

butter LONDON (I don’t know why I am always compelled to write it the way they have it on their bottles) has a new spring/summer collection out featuring five new shades!

I checked out four of the five (the one missing is Slapper, a bright teal creme) and I really like them! Interesting colors, not very common and really good formula for all.

Trout Pout

Trout Pout is a pale cantaloupe/coral creme. Honestly I didn’t think much of this one in the bottle but absolutely love it on my nails. It’s not pink, It’s not peach. It’s not orange. It’s not coral. It’s a perfect mix of them all and super spring-like and flattering. Great formula, just two coats. I adore it.

Physicians Formula Youthful Wear Foundation and Concealer Review

IMG 9971 Physicians Formula Youthful Wear Foundation and Concealer Review

Physicians Formula has a new line out called Youthful Wear Cosmeceutical Youth-Boosting Makeup.

In this line they have three pieces: foundation, concealer and powder, all meant to be worn together to create a more youthful appearance.

Their “Youth-Boosting Technology” includes 3 Cosmeceutical ingredients:

  • Encapsulated Ceramide3 & Hyaluronic acid which smooths skin, creates elasticity and reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
  • Microspheres of Magnesium Silicate & Silica which are diffusers that create a soft-focus finish and absorb oil (basically a primer)
  • Lamiaria Algae Extract which is a plant based medicine that tones, moisturizes and supports collagen production in skin.

There are some hefty claims they make that are based on a panel of women using the Youthful Wear system:

  • 100% saw flawless results instantly
  • 100% saw smoother skin instantly
  • 100% saw less deep wrinkles and less fine lines instantly
  • 100% saw younger looking skin instantly
  • 100% of women would use Youthful Wear as an alternative to a cosmetic procedure
  • 95% felt skin appeared lifted instantly
  • 95% saw firmer looking skin instantly

Hmm. Some things I agree with, but then again I could say them about using many different primer/foundation/concealer combinations.

NARS Spring 2012 NARS Spring 2012 Collection Swatches & Review

NARS spring 2012 collection is a small one that packs a colorful punch.

The collection is made up of just nine pieces (I previously reviewed Diamond Life Nail Polish here) and I have two of the best looking ones for you today.

Dark Rite is a Soft Touch Shadow Pencil in navy blue.

Paramaribo is a Duo Eyeshadow in a MUST HAVE combo (I think).

Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics The Garden Collection for Spring/Summer 2012 Swatches & Review

Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics The Garden Collection Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics The Garden Collection for Spring/Summer 2012 Swatches & Review

Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics has a new collection out called The Garden Collection this spring/summer.

This collection features five new Nail Lacquers (and a re-promote), five Loose Colour Concentrates, and six new Lip Tars. It was inspired by poisonous and psychotropic plants (oooh groovy!) as well as more earthy tones found in nature.

Recently OCC changed their bottle shape from a soft square to this harder rectangle shape. I like the way they look and line up. However, and this only really applies to those blogging about nail polish, the shape makes it really hard to hold and get an attractive photo of your hands! So I apologize in advance for the lame finger angles, but I did my best with my short digits. icon wink Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics The Garden Collection for Spring/Summer 2012 Swatches & Review
