This holiday season bareMinerals wants YOU to have The Finer Things. And The Finer Things just happens to be the name of their new Ready Eyeshadow 8.0 palette.

This palette features eight nicely pigmented eyeshadow, a large mirror inside, a dual-ended applicator brush and a mini Prime Time Eyelid Primer.

I believe this is my first experience with bareMinerals eyeshadows and let me say right now I am really impressed with the texture and pigmentation of these. Most excellent!

Hourglass has a couple new items out for fall and holiday 2012 and I’ve got some of them for ya this afternoon.

Film Noir Kohl Pencils are new for fall and come in two shades (Espresso and Eclipse) and are a long-wearing eye liner for lining the inner and outer eye. They come in a really long pencil which almost looks like a chopstick, and they also include a cap with a sharpener built in.

New for the holiday season is a lip set called Icon which features a gorgeous classic red shade in various formulas such as Femme Rouge Velvet Creme Lipstick, Opaque Rouge Liquid Lipstick, Extreme Sheen High Shine Lip Gloss (new), and Panoramic Long Wear Lip Pencil (new).

Last week when I was playing around with China Glaze For Audrey I decided it might be festive to do a glittery tipped nail look with it as the base.

I kinda sorta like what I came up with. This was my first attempt at doing this kind of nail and it’s really pretty straightforward. I did learn that you have to use a nicely contrasting shade for the tip and also ensure the glitter is large enough. Initially I tried a different silver glitter and it was too fine and “sugary” so it didn’t show up as much.
