Have you ever heard of a cool makeup palette being inspired by…meat? Well the Make Up For Ever Highline Palette was!
Ok maybe not MEAT per se, more like New York City’s Meatpacking District. 😉
The new limited edition Highline Palette features four autumn-esque eye shadow colors. There are three regular colors and one with a diamond finish. It also comes with a handy guide on the back of the box!
Diamond Purple (309), Iridescent Yellow Beige (126), Metallic Copper (122), Bronze (84) (Swatches dry)
Diamond Purple is a deep royal purple with silver diamond sparkles. Really pigmented and gorgeous. The texture has a very slight grit to it but not that bad.
Iridescent Yellow Beige is a pale peachy beige shimmery color. Soft and pretty.
Metallic Copper is a pigmented bronze-y/copper shade.
Bronze is a dark mossy green/bronze color with slight gold shimmer. I found this color to be the least pigmented when dry.
When you use these wet, the colors REALLY come alive. Actually Iridescent Yellow Beige works better when dry, but the other three are really gorgeous and saturated when wet.
I feel like this is a good palette with colors that nicely compliment each other. It definitely feels like a fall palette! I think using them wet is the way to go if you want major pigmentation, or dry if you want a softer look.
Availability: Exclusive to Sephora online (and the Sephora NYC Meatpacking store) and limited edition.
Pricing: $45.00 (a $$92.00 value).
