A shark ate me.
This is a magnet I picked up while at Barnes & Noble. It spoke to me because I frequently want to give up when I get frustrated or angry. I keep it above my desk at home now. 🙂
This past weekend I went to the Beautylish Beauty Social in Santa Monica, CA. I stayed at the Lowes Santa Monica Beach Hotel which was right across from the ocean and pretty nice!
View from the 8th floor where I stayed.
Santa Monica Pier (tourist trap like Fisherman’s Wharf) 😉
When we walked down to the beach area Mr. VV commented, “Whoa it looks like Muscle Beach”. One second later I looked up and saw this sign, which he hadn’t even seen, haha!
Apparently we brought the SF/Bay Area weather with us because it was foggy the entire trip.
Remember yesterday when I mentioned that there was another “children’s” arcade game that was more risque then the English Executioner one? Well here she is the Opium Den. O.o
I got a huge laugh out of this one. Ok look at the guy laying down in the back and the dude practically falling down while standing up in the corner. And I don’t even know what to say about the red nose on the woman sitting down. We didn’t actually play this one so I wonder what it does? Maybe they actually show them smoking it? Either way not really for kids!
A few weeks ago Mr. VV, my step daughter and I went walking around the Pier 39/Fisherman’s Wharf area in SF. We walked down some random pier (I can’t remember which one) and saw this indoor arcade that featured tons of really old games from I think the 1920’s-1940’s mostly.
The English Execution was one of them and of course we coughed up a quarter to see this baby in action!
In goes the quarter and the doors pop open. Then a man is hung from a noose and drops into the floor below. Alrighty then! Considering this was meant for kids it’s kind of odd, but there was another one which was MUCH more risque. More on that soon…
