I have gotten more compliments on this ring than any other I own (except my engagement ring). People are always asking me where I got it and is it Coach? Well the answer is no. I actually got this in a cheap chain store in London, very similar to the Clarie’s stores we have in the US. This ring was like $5.00! What I like about it is that it’s heavy and feels really good on my finger. It definitely doesn’t feel cheap, but it was!
This was during a swatching session I was having. Chewbacca usually hangs out near me (I guess he doesn’t mind noxious fumes) on the kitchen counter. He decided to rest his chin upon some BB couture polishes that were going to be shipped out to my giveaway winners, and fall asleep. Goofball.
N___. got me this book because it’s filled with totally old fashioned quirky words and sayings and I love that kinda thing. Here are some examples you might find interesting and/or humorous:
Boondoggle: As a noun it means wasteful activity or work only done in order to look busy. As a verb it means to deceive.
Duck soup: Something easy to do.
Flibbertigibbet: A gossipy or silly person or someone who is scatterbrained and flighty.
Jabberwocky: Nonsense.
Kerfuffle: A big fuss.
Lily-livered: A cowardly person.
Mollycoddle: To spoil someone.
Quixotic: Foolish or impractical.
Rabble-rouser: Someone who instigates or causes trouble.
Serendipity (one of my favorite words): Receiving something good that you weren’t looking for, by accident.
Skullduggery: Sneaky or underhanded behavior.
Tintinnabulation: The jingling sound that bells make.
Vomitory: The aisle that runs between seats in a stadium.
Chewy tends to get very frisky when cleaning himself for some reason. And the funny part is that he’s very discombobulated also. He has zero “finesse” like Sammy does, it’s kind of all over the place and crazy.
