Above is a photo I took of something near where I work called the South San Francisco Wind Harp. This was taken from below it with the sun just peeking out around a corner. I then used a new iPhone app called PicFx on it creating this look, which I love!

SO it’s THAT time again for the Friday poll, yay! Please take a few minutes to chillax with me and let it alllll out

1. How was your week?

   My week was decent and went by kind of fast due to working from home Monday then leaving early for Doc appt Wednesday. I love breaking the week up like that, so much easier to get through!

2. What do you normally eat for breakfast?

   During the work week I normally have coffee then sometimes either a banana, breakfast bar (Luna) or occasionally a breakfast on an English muffin or bagel from cafeteria. Weekends I will have coffee and sometimes toast or cereal. Occasionally we make a huge breakfast or pancakes

3. Whatcha wearing on your nails?

   Diamond Cosmetics Hot Summer Pink

4. If you could only read, watch movies or listen to music for the rest of your life (can only choose one) which would you choose?

   Why do I ask these questions that I can’t even answer? Ok well I love all three but it’s between music & reading. I feel like I cannot live with either but if I HAD to choose I think I would have to pick music overall.

5. Will you be watching The Royal Wedding next Friday?

   YES, this is history and I love everything British. I took Friday off work but am having doubts I am going to be able to get up at 3:00 am to watch TV!

What’s up people of the world? It’s FRIDAY!!

So I asked you last week if you wanted to see my usual Friday poll or a themed one every week. Most people liked the themed idea, but for now I think I will change them out, so sometimes it will be themed if I have an idea and sometimes just random. That way everyone is happy (and when I am brain-dead easier on me).

This week we have a dessert theme, because really, who doesn’t like dessert? And yes, I did make that cupcake above (Madagascar vanilla with vanilla butter-cream frosting) and took the photo.

1. How has your week been?

All over the map. Started out ok, then it sucked, then it ended ok.

2. What is the best dessert-type thing you have eaten this week?

A Cadbury Creme Egg

3. What’s on the nails today?

China Glaze Electric Pineapple with CND Teal Sparkle on top.

4. I am a (cake, cookie, ice cream, candy, etc.)_______ person:

Cake is #1, but I like a huge variety of sugary sweets.

5. Your favorite cake is:

I love “classic” wedding cake and by that I mean white cake with vanilla butter cream filling and frosting. Red velvet is a VERY close second!

6. Your least favorite dessert would be:

Fruit. Sorry but I do not consider fruit dessert no matter how sweet it is! Continue reading »

Lately I’ve been stuck on my alternative 80′s channel on Pandora and I am obsessed with INXS Don’t Change

2. What is a song you really like but are embarrassed to admit?

Fergie London! Don’t know if it’s because “London” is in the name (haha) but I LOVE it and am a bit horrified about that.

4. Depeche Mode: Are you a fan?

YES. Depeche is my 2nd favorite band of all-time (after Metallica).

5. What song must you listen to LOUD every time it comes on?

Most, as KISS would say “If it’s too loud, then you’re too old”. But really I have to say Dazed and Confused by Led Zeppelin is at the top of my list. Continue reading »

It’s Friday again, finally!

Is it just me or did this week take forever and a month to get through? I just want to jump in the water in the picture above and never, ever get back to reality!

Even though I worked from home on Monday, it was excruciatingly long, slow and boring

We have espresso machines at work so I bring my own vanilla syrup and make myself a non-fat vanilla latte. At home I just drink the Hills Brothers french vanilla cappuccino mix

When I was a kid I loved Sorry! and Candyland. Now I would say Monopoly, though I don’t play much
