It’s that time again and to top it off, in the US it’s a three day weekend for Memorial Day, yahoooo!

I love this cartoon above because it reminds me of me. The hair, the laptop and the airplane in the background (I work right by SFO airport). Also I love her top and glasses, but I am not that chic.

1. How was your week?

Good – finally mostly over that cough and on vacation at Hearst Castle as we speak!

2. What is the longest you ever waited in line for anything (tickets, an amusement park ride, post office, etc.)?

I think probably 2-2 1/2 hours in line for a roller-coaster when I was in my teen and 20′s. I would NEVER do that at this point, haha!

3. What’s on your nails?

A big fat nada!

4. Are you scared of needles?

Welcome to Friday and the “Movie” edition of the VV Poll!

1. How was your week?

Not great, still sick with a cough so feeling mostly just tired and blah.

2. What is one of your favorite quotes from a movie?

From 300 “For tonight we dine in HELL!!!” So hilarious and I use it quite often

4. Which category of movies do you prefer? Drama, comedy, romantic, documentary, foreign, horror/sci fi or action?

Was this week insanely long or is it just me? Anyways, we have yet again arrived at one of the best days of the week so let’s celebrate!

Let me know what you’ve been up to!

1. How was your week?

Seemed excessively long. I have been battling a very odd sore throat/cough all week as have many people I know. Glad it’s Friday!

2. Do you change your makeup routine when the weather gets warmer?

Yes. I normally switch to a tinted moisturizer and add a brighter lip, but keep most everything else the same. Luckily we don’t have humidity here, so I don’t have melting makeup when it gets hot!

3. What’s on the nails today?

Not sure, writing this Thursday and needing to take off NARS Tokaido Express.

4. Do you prefer to shop alone or with friends?

It depends really. Even when I am with a friend, we usually split apart once in a store and it works for me that way. But I do like to get an opinion every now & then on how something looks on me.

5. You must choose! Would you rather run into an angry tiger, grizzly bear or elephant in the wild?

Ahh Friday again, the 3rd best day of the week next to Saturday and Sunday

The photo above was taken about 3 years ago when I went to Nashville, TN for a few hours. I was visiting my in-laws in AL and we took the quick 1 1/2 hour trip because I had never been there. I loved it and took many photos (mostly in Sepia tone which I was obsessed with at that time). This brings me to the theme of this weeks poll which is Summer Vacations!

1. How was your week?

It started off not too pleasant, we had a main water line break in the front yard so we had no water all day Sunday and part of Monday. But it’s fixed now, so hopefully that is that.

2. Do you have a really hilarious or weird thing that happened to you while on vacation?

Hilariously bad perhaps. About 9 years ago Mr. VV and I went to Cozumel Mexico. We stayed at an all-inclusive hotel, which was ok in itself but the FOOD. The food was awful, I barely ate anything the whole trip except when we went into town and ate at a Hard Rock. That was like a 5 star restaurant there, haha!

3. What’s on your nails today?

Misa Office Polish-tics on all fingers except ring, where I’m wearing Misa Working Hard Or Hardly Working.

4. What is the best vacation you went on as a kid?

Probably one of the Hawaii trips. We went there quite frequently so I was able to spend a lot of time on Maui, Kauai, Hawaii and Oahu for weeks at a time. The only bad thing was it was usually during school, so I had to do loads of homework while I was there! Continue reading »

TGIF!

Welcome to the flower edition of my Friday poll! The photo above was taken with my iPhone, then I used my new favorite app called PicFX on it to create this peeling paint effect.

Flowers seemed appropriate this week since I got some yesterday, which I am SURE will be dead by next week. Oh also, April showers bring May flowers.

1. How was your week?

Up and down, but ended decently with me taking today off (to watch the Royal Wedding).

2. Are you allergic to flowers?

I have seasonal allergies in the spring, but don’t have any particular flower I know that I am allergic to.

4. What is your favorite flower?

Peonies! A very close second are Tulips.

5. What flower do you loathe the smell of?
