We have done it once again. We have reached the end of the work-week so let’s celebrate!!

This week’s poll theme is water. Since it’s summer and warm out (well not really in the Bay Area this week) I always want to be in the water more often.

1. How was your week?
   My week was ok, nothing all that exciting really.
2. Do you like swimming?
   LOVE it. Well I love “being” in the water, really any kind will do. My sign is Gemini but I frequently feel more like an Aquarius. I was swimming when I was 4 so I’m sure that has something to do with it!
3. What’s on your nails?
   Nothing right now going to be swatching soon!
4. Do you prefer being in the ocean, lake, river or swimming pool?
   I love warm oceans and swimming pools most. The thing that isn’t so great about Northern California is the water is between 53-55 degrees so it’s way too cold to get into. Wah.
5. Hot tubs. Love or hate?
   LOVE. I am a hot tub kid. We got one when I was maybe 9 and I have one now. They are so great for relaxing and I frequently read in mine.
6. When in the water, do you do activities or just prefer to float around?

1. How was your (hopefully short) week?
   It was short because of the 4th holiday and not working Fridays LOVE it!
2. Warm summer nights – love ‘em or hate ‘em?
   LOVE them. To me it means it’s really summer when it’s light out until past 9:00 and it’s warm out. Except I will not sleep with the windows open (see too many true crime shows
3. What’s on your nails?
   Zoya Irene (one of my favs form them) with CND Gold Shimmer on top.
4. Do you prefer sunsets or sunrises?
   I prefer sunsets since that means I don’t have to get up early.
5. You must choose: Popsicle or ice cream cone?

Happy Fourth of July weekend to those in the US!

For me it’s a nice long four day weekend, and I plan on doing some fun things, eating lots of grilled food items and relaxing!

Since summer is finally officially upon us I am making this poll a general summer theme.

1. How was your week?

My week was decent, it went by somewhat quickly (for once).

2. Are you planning on going to any summer concerts? Which ones?

No, haven’t been to one in many years now. I thought about going to see Soundgarden until I saw that the cheapest tickets were over $90! I remember when tickets were…nah never mind

3. What’s on the nails? Doing a special 4th of July mani?

Just took off Chanel Peridot.

4. Do you ever visit county fair’s during the summer?

Yes! I love county fairs they are SO summery. Usually I just go to eat…

5. If the above answer is yes, what’s your favorite “fair food”?

If there is BBQ there I will be all over that. If not, a corn-dog and deep-fried mushrooms will work

6. Watermelon, yay or nay?

I am not a huge watermelon fan for some reason anymore. I really don’t like the aftertaste of fresh watermelon, but I love artificial flavored watermelon stuff. Continue reading »

Happy Friday!!

1. How was your week?

It was ok. Today is the last day I will be 38 and I find it very strange and unreal. I’m really not a fan of getting older!

2. What’s the weather been like where you live?

Finally starting to get warm! It’s been in the high 70′s/low 80′s this week and I love it.

3. What’s on your nails today?

Nothing at the moment.

4. Do you feel your actual age or older or younger (mentally)?

I feel MUCH younger mentally than what I suspect other 38 year olds feel, if that makes sense. I sometimes still feel like I’m 22, since I still am not where I want to be career-wise at all.

5. What is your favorite bright makeup item to wear in the summer?

Bright pink or coral lipstick is my current “thing”.

6. Let’s talk SPF. Do you wear SPF on your face every day, all year round?

Oh yes, since my very early 20′s and it’s paid off. My Dermatologist said I barely showed any signs of aging and have no skin damage. He said I was “perfectly preserved” which I love, haha!

7. If you had to live on a tropical island (inhabited) for the rest of your life, do you think you would get island fever?

Hmm tough one for me. I have had fantasies about living in Hawaii for years. Mr. VV did live there for 3 years though and did get a little stir-crazy. But I loooooooove the beaches there! I would try it Continue reading »

Happily, it is once again Friday!

But doesn’t it seem like your life passes by so quickly when you wish your weeks away and live only for the weekend? SIGH.

Anyway, let’s get down to business and DO THIS THANG. This week’s poll is all about shopping!

1. How was your week?

Extremely long and pretty slow going. Happy it’s over with!

2. What’s on your nails?

3. Do you shop online more or in an actual store?

Probably about 50/50. I love shopping online because it’s so convenient and no crowds. In store shopping is great also because you get to actually try on or out products.

4. What are some of your favorite stores to shop in (online or in person)?

Amazon (Prime rocks), Sephora, Etsy, Gap/Old Navy, Nordstrom, Macy’s, Target, Barnes & Noble, CVS, Rite Aid, Walgreens.

5. Best score you ever got online was:

I got a pretty good deal on my Canon T1i a couple years ago right after Christmas. It was $100-150 off normal price on Amazon. Continue reading »
