Drugstore Nail Polish Swatches Part 2

Happy Thursday! As promised, today I am bringing you part 2 of my drugstore nail polish swatches. I found a new (and very cheap) brand that I had never seen before which is called CQ. It’s in these really cute bottles and seemed pretty decent. I also saw some nice Borghese ones that I wanted to try which are more expensive at around $8.00 each. And finally a cool looking metallic from NYC. All of these were found at my local Rite Aid. All pictures taken in sunlight with no top coat.

CG – Silver Taupe

Isn’t it cute? I think I might like the bottle shape more than the actual color on this one. It went on very sheer, which isn’t my fav, but after three coats, it wasn’t too bad. I would say it’s a light beige/taupe color with a lot of silver glitter in it.

BB Couture For Nails Swatches

Thanks to Katee over at e-polishblog, I discovered a new brand of nail polish that looked pretty intriguing from her swatches here. I definitely needed the green she had which is called Poison Ivy but decided to also get a couple others she didn’t swatch so you can see a variety of their polishes. Pictures are all taken in sunlight with no top coat. Enjoy!

Poison Ivy

This color was everything I had expected it to be! The consistency was flawless going on and I only needed two coats. The color is a beautiful Kermit the Frog green creme and I have fallen madly in love with it. I don’t own anything like it and am extremely excited to add it to my green collection!

Dior – Black Sequins Swatches

Good evening vampy friends! I am highly excited to bring you one of my new best friends named Dior Black Sequins. She’s a beaut! Though this polish is smaller than your average bottle (.33 ounces) and fairly expensive at $19.00, it’s limited edition and in my humble opinion, very worth the $$! Pics taken indoors with flash with no top coat.

Misa Swatches

I finally ordered a bunch of Misa polishes since I had been coveting them on other bloggers sites for awhile. Overall I was very impressed with both the quality and colors of their polishes. I will definitely be ordering more from Misa and am excited that I discovered a new brand for myself! My pictures are all taken in sunlight with no top coat.

A Sin Worth Committing

Gorgeous! This color is really pretty, especially in the sun. It’s a deep inky bright blue with gads of shimmer. I have on 3 coats and the application was smooth as glass.Â

Sally Hansen Salon – Fall 2008 Swatches

Let me start this post by saying I searched all over Hell’sÂ creation trying to find this collection which supposedly came out in Target, Rite Aid, Long’s etc., in September. Well let me tell you people, after searching about 10-15 drug stores and not finding a single one, I had to resort to eBay. I was highly annoyed because it’s not like the San Francisco Bay Area is some small rural town! Anyhoo, I got 4 of my favorite ones and the pics and reviews are below.

Stormy Blue

I was very prepared to fall madly in love with this color, especially after seeing All Lacquered UpÂ do her swatch. Alas, I was a tad let down. Don’t get me wrong, I do like the color but it doesn’t make me swoon for some reason. The application was really nice, though I did have to use 3 coats. It’s a beautiful silvery blue with a nice metallic-ish shimmer. Maybe it’s my skin tone, I don’t know, but I was expecting more from this color.
