Happy Monday morning!

piCture pOlish Atomic by Samarium’s Swatches is a somewhat complex silvery white glittery sparkly shade.

This shade was created by the lovely Sarah from the blog Samarium’s Swatches, of course. She was inspired by the element Samarium, which is a hard silvery colored metal. When it’s exposed to air it oxidizes into a grey/gold powder, which helps explain the shimmer in the polish. So scientific!

The great thing about this shade is it can be worn on its own or layered over many other shades to create gorgeous effects! Sarah shows you a bunch of layering options on her initial post about the shade here.

The Orly Hope and Freedom Fest Collection for spring 2013 came out awhile ago online and I’m a bit late to the party for this one!

The collection consists of six new shades in various finishes. The three not shown are Boho Bonnet (light blue creme), Melodious Utopia (pale shimmery yellow) and Coachella Dweller (lime green creme).

The names kind of crack me up because they are SO Coachella targeted. Hey brands, howzabout a Day on the Green or Monsters of Rock collection? The names could be something like “Metal-head Malachite”, “Head Banger Bondi Blue”, “Mosh Pit Prussian”, “Stage Dive Sapphire” and “Concert-tee Camo”.

So here I am swatching yet another indie brand, this time called My Ten Friends. The shades I have are Alien Invasion and Pew! Pew! Pew! (which cracks me up to no end).

My Ten Friends is a brand that can be found on Etsy but also Overall Beauty. They are big-3 free and cruelty free.

Look at me, I’m reviewing an indie brand!

Dollish Polish Candy Series polish includes five shades, all candy-colored and so pretty to look at!

This is my first experience with this brand and I had mostly a positive experience with a few frustrations I find frequently with MANY glitter shades. So it’s not necessarily a judgment on the brand at all. Glitter can be a pain sometimes!

Chanel Le Vernis Eastern Light and Western Light are limited edition Nail Colours out right now and part of the Hong Kong de Chanel collection.

I had been kinda sorta coveting these, especially Western Light, and kinda sorta poked around at a Nordstrom looking for them once, to no avail. I kinda sorta forgot about them until Taboo came out. Since I ordered that one I kinda sorta added these to my cart also!
